Excellent video. The only one of its kind that I have come across. I was intending to replace the pulley bearing but found it was good. No noises/no play then I spun the mag clutch I could hear bearing noises and there was play. In your video, when you have removed the clutch what appears to be a bearing is visible. Is it a bearing or a seal? If it's a seal where are the worn bearings am I hearing?
4 years later but.....does the inner shaft need removed from the housing to replace the bearing and seal? Do you know where can i find a replacement bearing and seal kit?
Hello I watched your video and it helped me to remove the clutch bell. thank you I wanted to know how you did to separate the front part of the supercharger? and what is the tightening torque for assembly? thanks again
my pulley clutch that covers the magnet has a wobble to it when it spins. What could be the cause and is the only solution to just remove it completely and go clutchless?
Hello again happy new year i just got my new supercharger cluch. do you have an idea for the assembly. for information: I disassembled the supercharger from the car and separated the front as in the video. I was told that you have to heat the cluch to introduce it! I wonder if we also put the front part in the freezer? is it possible? thank you
That trick only really works for parts like bearings to shrink them. You could try freezing the front section and then leaking the clutch at room temperature. If you try put a frozen part and a hot part together they cancel each other out and jam the cold shaft will cook the hot clutch and both become the same temperature. So could try. Frozen front and room temp clutch Or Room temp front and heated clutch
I want to say: put the supercharger front to the freezer to shrink the shaft. and heat the coupler so that the hole expands. I'm afraid of damaging the gear behind the front axle of the supercharger or the spy joint. Thank you for your answer.
Good evening I managed to remove the part before supercharging. I found little of the oil !!! on the other hand i did not succeed in removing the bell from supercharger. i used the way you explained on youtube, but the bell starts to get deformed and cracked !! I stopped because I'm afraid of breaking it on the supercharger. anyway she's screwed. if i break it can i still remove the rest or not? thank you
It is common for the clutch to have cracks in the fiber material. If this still flat and not warped it will work fine. Only has problem if it's bent and wobbles
Benz Performance Parts Good evening unfortunately the cluch is deformed, and it will no longer work correctly. if I continued to tear off the cluch, I'm afraid of breaking it on the supercharger. can we buy the part before supercharging like the one on your video? thank you
The two small pins that comes through the center the of clutch.....important???? I was changing the supercharger pulley and those sheared off.............
