I used the first part of this video to show me how to remove the seat and then track cover because the end caps came off sometime somehow and they’re somewhere, I bought the carpet cover molding (end caps) for $40 on eBay 🤦♀️ couldn’t find them any cheaper and I needed 2. I feel so accomplished! So far I have replaced my fridge water filter and now I’ve fixed my bowed and off-track rail covers and end caps. As a single mom I’m feeling really proud of myself! Thank you for your help!
Beware that the Gen 3 Sienna AWD version has the underside all switched around to allow for the 2nd driveshaft and transaxle. It appears as though the nuts for the middle tracks are much more difficult to remove. It looks like the GAS TANK is in the way of some of them. Mine has a second row of seats that does not include the middle seat, yet both of the inner tracks have welded-in bolts that have the weird covered nuts underneath. We need a video that shows how to take these tracks out.
@guitaristLee the underside is not all switched around. Only difference is no spare tire and gas tank is in the way of the inner driver side track. All a mechanic has to do is lower one side, remove the t50s, raise it back up, lower the other side, take out the t50s then secure the gas tank back up, done. Here’s a video for the AWD ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fD5HJgPB5n4.htmlsi=ap8mOwXmp89DZqA8
Oh great more good news. I’m just going to split this rug into three pieces and then I’m going to weave it in place before gluing the front and rear. I can hardly wait to see the video to remove the front buckets. This thing is killing me. Jeez, I’m just now removing components. There’s a lot to unpack. Omg. Over engineering at its worst. I will never do another one. I had some important shit I had to do yesterday and had to cancel to deal with this turd.
If I were to purchase auto body plugs so I could remove these permanently, what size would I need? And how many? I think I counted 4 per rail.. and he used a t55x14mm to remove… but what size auto body plug to fill the holes? The answer may be within my question but I don’t have that much “handyman experience” Appreciate any help in advance
My shop wants $575 to remove the tracks, say they need to remove gas tank to get to the bolts !!! Can't I just use a cutoff wheel to remove the trollies ?
