Enough bezel kit removals can not only damage the mechanics of the original bezel, it can also strip the original bezels paint. The longer the bezel kit adheres to the original bezel, the more complicated/difficult the removal becomes. Using heat to attempt to loosen the adhesive is also of issue as electronics do not take kindly to extreme heat, not only the device but the battery itself. My advice would be to use caution and patience when removing bezel kit, slow as possible and refrain from heat. Floss is an excellent option to assist with removal and highly recommended. This video gives a very good example

That's what I was afraid of,I know heat and electronics don't go but I knew once I try to take it off it's going to take some of the pain off smh might as well leave mine on permanently

I finally tried this and it went well thanks to your video. One thing for people to keep in mind is that the space between the Ringke cover and the bezel is very thin and it's an easy mistake (at least for me it was) to get the floss under the bezel thinking that it's under the cover. You just have to look real closely too see the fine line between the two. Also, unwaxed floss is probably better as it won't leave a residue.

This was a great tip. I ordered the Galaxy Watch 3 & I'm trading in my original Galaxy Watch, which I put a rhinestone bezel on. It took about 2 minutes using the floss to remove the rhinestone bezel, which I had on for 5 months & clean the small smeck of glue with Windex. Looks perfect. Thank you 😊

Thanks for this! I still wear my old Samsung 46mm, custom bezel has been on this for almost 4 years now...time for a change I think. That adhesive has been impressive all these years...floss, no problem, glad I don't need some heat gun for this. Thanks for the video again, Happy New Year!

I went for the silver/metal look with black numbers. Looks very close to a Rolex Submariner if you put the right watch face on it. There i went for the blue version. Silver and blue just kills it.

I ordered a bunch of bezel cover from China because they are only a little over $2 each. I haven't gotten them yet but I thought of perhaps removing only small portions of the plastic that covers the adhesive since I don't expose my watch to water. That would make it much easier to remove and also allow it to be reusable as you could just remove a little more of the plastic to reveal more adhesive. Also, it would be nice if you could buy some cheap Chinese bezels that look like the covers since the bezel is not that hard to remove.

Ringke should have made a little indentation on the bottom in case you want to remove it, it would be beneficial for them also, so they can sell more. Failure in design.

Don't discard the old bezel cover. You can use Elmer's Rubber Cement to reattach later. Rubber Cement adheres well but is also removable.

Wow, I'm not to sure if I want to try removing mine after watching you do it. Looks like one little slip and the original bezel might come off too. Maybe rubbing alcohol to soften the adhesive?

U could use a hair dryer to warm up the glue, that would make it easier

Will this not damage the bezel in any way? And I also noticed with the ringke bezel fitted on there's slight play movement in the physical bezel, is that normal?

Watch the video, I show what the bezel looks like after removal. The OEM bezel has slight movement to begin with, at least on mine

Shoot I peeled my right off and the adhesive still was reusable and hey all the bezels are dope. Plus hit up the dollar store for some adhesive and dont toss the old ones out. Well not unless u bent them, then bye bye. But if u messed up the placement and need to align it over. It's most definitely possible. And try the inner bezel shit looks dope with that as well.

I wonder if a little hair dryer heat might make that easier. I have a bezel with the Ringke that's never coming off, since I scratched the stock bezel. If I swap it out, I got spare stock bezels to swap out.

Yes, that's why it's a one time use only but you can adhere it again if u really want to, just won't be as nice

Floss does not work on most bezels. The butyl adhesive strips these days are so thin that the floss cant get under the bezel. You will need a heat gun unless you can find older model bezels. Not even spudgers can get under it without heat.
