Hello, Thanks for sharing this video.. The center console is somewhat similar to 2011 range rover sport. I wanted to know if I can update the Ipod port to USB. Would make everyone's life a lot easier.
Hi there, i love your videos. Do you have a video regarding heat blend actuator or access to the heat blends at Disco4? I have cold blowing vents on drover side and hot at passenger side. Thanks and have a great 2024.
Hi I love your tutorial videos only a shame that you don't ship your goods to Africa. i wonder if you can help me I do own a 2010 TDV6 Discovery 4 S and would like to upgrade the radio to have the NAV and the suspension information on the radio. Is this something that can be easily done if I order them (eg. Is the car wiring prepared for that)?
Good morning from the Czech Republic chaps! I have been watching your channel for quite a while and thank you for lots of useful tips and advice. I was wondering if you could help with the following. I have Discovery 4 2014 and also Discovery 4 2015. I would like to update the infotainment firmware in 2014 model to 2015 version. And also the 2015 model displays some basic information from the radio (i.e. name of the radio station, frequency, RDS information) on the dashboard whereas the 2014 model does not. I am sure this is just matter of coding and firmware version as both the cars are exactly the same - Discovery 4, facelift, HSE but when I approached my local LR dealer with this request they just gave me obtuse look. Thank you very much and keep up the good work! Martin
Hi I have raised this question with the guys at IID - they are the experts at this sort of stuff. They informed me that the entertainment system, including Nav, cannot be updated via the OBD port on 2012+. It uses its own diagnostic port in the form of a USB connector thus an IIDTool cannot help in this case. Entertainment ECUs for 2010-2011 can be updated using the tool but the Nav is an exception since using another system called a Nav Update Tool.
hi, fantastic video as always, been able to do lots removal/replacement parts thanks to powerful uk, great online site also for purchasing. Parts factory & aftermarket but all fantastic quality. do you have a rear camera install video.
Hi Lee - thanks for the comments and happy its helped you out. You guys buying stuff lets me have a great job playing on cars ! I am working on the camera install on our project Disco 4. I have the camera sorted and how to get to the back of the unit - i did these videos. The missing part of the puzzle is how to activate the camera in the software ( working with someone on that ) and getting the connector that plugs into the back of the screen unit.
powerfulukltd thanks for reply, I have a OEM camera/tailgate wiring loom & micro switch loom for the rear and just wanted your fantastic step by step install. I believe that there is 2 settings in the ccf that need to be activated via a IID TOOL/FAULT-MATE to recognise there is a camera. 👍
IID are sending me a tool to test - bless them they offered me the tool for free but i declined as i dont think i can give a fair impartial view on a tool i am given for free...
Cheers for the video. I’ve been a sub for a while and really enjoy yere content. It’s just what I may need but before I plough ahead you may be able to help me. My lr4 is a 2016 and the whole media is not working. . I have power at the screen but it doesn’t display or tune into any radio channels. When I turn the radio off it shows on the screen that it’s off. When I turn on the sat nav it tells me it’s initialising but it doesn’t , my phone won’t connect and finally I can’t get the CD’s to eject. I’m thinking it could be a media module but for the like of me I can’t find it. Have you any ideas. TIA for any advice.
Hi I’m not getting any heat from passenger side Iv flushed the heater matrix and still the same . Been told blend motors are popular have you ever replaced on or have a vidio of doing so
Most likely your heater matrix is blocked bud. These run a left and right flute to the heater matrix and the passenger side being furtherest from the ports gets blocked first. Once blocked most don't have success in flushing the gunk out. I'm replacing mine this week.
Hi - i think its vehicle specific - if you give me the engineering number from your unit i can give you the part number - engineering numbers are normally in the format HS3N 140002 BN or similar.
