Rob - remember the old 4 corner wood blocks we use to play on??? Do you have dimensions? 8x8x16 on 2x8x 24? seem small today?? Thinking 12x12x18 on 2x12x36 - Team Risk it!
@@robertsack257 After reading other reviews, I went with a different set up that’s a little more robust. My wrangler (ordered last NOV), still hasn’t arrived. Once it does, I plan on posting a vid on what I did for my set up!
@@mitchsargent5543 I bought a Vestil 2 Ton Hoist. Arrives today. Has 104 inch height and 60 inch boom arm. I am hoping this will do the trick. Kind of overkill but was not much more than the 1 ton and you get an extra foot of length in the boom.
Sure, you could, but it takes up the same footprint when it's hanging as it does when lowered down and is definitely more secure that way for extended periods of time.
not everyone has 20 foot ceilings - once off jeep how am i supposed to wheel that 7-8' tall contraption into my standard sized garage????? not thought out very well
Some people do leave them in, however it does use the front bolt hole of the hardtop, so I would suggest taking it out and replacing the factory bolts when reinstalling the hardtop.
@@tysonduquette1414 Bad thing about that one is that it doesn't pick up off off the ground and it can't tilt the hardtop...unless I'm missing something.
