If you live in the salt belt make sure you pull the tire down occasionally and spray the mechanism with Fluid Film to prevent them for rusting and sticking

Very helpful. It might be nice to invest in a bank of lights, or perhaps just a small LumeCube type light to help a little with the shadows.

I wish every manufacturer had this idea for their trucks or suvs from every year since instead of just the 2020+ vehicles, definitely comes in handy instead of struggling to remove the wheel from the bottom

Now I know to later get a 5th OEM rim for the spare for my soon to be mine Frontier, thanks for the quick guide 🙂 also its always best carry a "cross" lug nut breaker if you live in a very hot and humid area like I do in deep South Texas that can make those lug nuts a nightmare. Especially if you need to put your foot and body weight and the L shape ones will wear out like it did to my Sentra.

This works exactly the same as it did on my 2004 Frontier.

My 2004 Frontier has the same set up, it hasn't changed. Good luck if you have a flat at night, that slot isn't easy to find.

You mentioned you secured the chain under the spare as it hangs down. How did you do this successfully without it falling through the spare holes again?

Has anyone noticed their spare becoming loose, causing a thudding underneath the rear of the truck when accelerating from a stop, usually on a slight incline?

Would the extra rod extend it past the tailgate if you had it down? Good vid again.
