Ford Transit 2.4L (2402cc) 4-cylinder 2006 - 2013
Exclusions:
Does not cover petrol engines, or 3.2 litre (3198cc) diesel engines. Does not cover Transit Custom or new Transit range introduced in 2013.

Isn't it necessary to replace all 12 liters of coolant after 10 years of use? Why change only 3-6 liters of the coolant?

If ford just fitted an outlet tap on the coolant system, the coolant could be flushed out with a hose-pipe and the system re-filled with coolant with no risk of air-lock. Simples. FORD please fit a tap to make the coolant flush process easy 🙂

No, there will still be some coolant in the cylinder block, but it should be OK for thermostat replacement

Who would run an engine at 2000 revs for 20 minutes, then a further 10? How much fuel does that use and how much pollution caused? Surely there must be a simpler way.

Pretty standard for heading up 10L of coolant to 82c......

Terrible tutorial. To replace 2litres out of 13l and risk creating air locks. What is the point? Haynes lost my respect today.

There was no mention of fluid volume, they just showed a half full container at the end of draining, which might be the case if you filled it up before all the coolant had drained & had to empty it before draining the last bit out? These kind of videos are partly "symbolic"; they show the essentials of what you have to do, not every single detail, like watching 13L drain from a small pipe!
