I chose to rent an r34 GTR for a 24hrs free drive with another company. It was around the same price and I had no restriction on where I could drive. I took it all around gunma, wangan, and daikoku.
@@waynejackson3634 It's called Omoshiro and if you watch the video I list the prices and give some instruction on how to book it! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-isbnBfJOHrQ.htmlsi=dgAmJR7ttf2Z3jN3
@@waynejackson3634 I did. But not sure why it was deleted. It's car rental Tokyo. Perhaps, the OP didn't want it to compete with what he was promoting?
Wow this is really cool! Remember my friend that I mentioned with a white widebody NSX? Well he actually has has a friend with a 911 that sits in his garage. One time, that friend met up with him doing an interview! He's kind of a big deal with his white nsx.
wow this looks so great - didn't know it existed, hopefully heading to Japan 2025 and will be putting this in the to do list. Thanks for your video and information.
Right on! Im glad I could help!! If you're interested in more car things to do while you're in Japan, take a look at my Japan playlist. I tried to be as informative with tips in every video. I'm stoked that I was able to book the R34 for November this week - bookings open up 3 months out at midnight Tokyo time so if you have a specific route/car combo you want to rent, make sure you book then.

@@Icefirenice I was in the same situation as you. They told us no. It’s not illegal for the streets in Japan, they just dont want their customers to record in the car. It doesn’t hurt to ask them again to verify.
Hello, i saw you posted this video on a facebook group.. i dont remember where so i cant find it but i think someone mentioned on fb comments that there is another car rental similar to this one, in the same area or region.. do you have any info about it? I will visit japan at the end of september and i really want to try a test drive of skyline r34... i checked this company site and unfortunately everything is booked 😵
Hi, thanks for commenting! Yes, you can rent a GTR R34 from a few different companies. Omoshiro Rent-a-Car has a few R34's in their inventory. It's a bit farther from Fuji but a lot of people rent from here and drive to Fuji themselves. You can learn about it in this video I made, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-isbnBfJOHrQ.htmlsi=hl0ccbbWTpIHy_Be Also, please check out my Japan playlist for more tips and advice for car things to do in Japan! I try to make the videos as helpful as I can for travelers. Enjoy!
It doesn't hurt to ask them! I did and they told me absolutely no videos while driving. Even though I had a suction cup for my video camera and wanted an inside cabin view, they still said no. Again, it doesn't hurt to ask them while you're there! They might say yes to you!
Sure! I actually made a video about how to get an international drivers permit. Check it out- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KY8lHtr9oD0.htmlsi=2KTIWlbdH5YQGU7t
Fun2Drive is the only company that I've come across that doesn't let you record while driving. If you'd like to rent similar cars without that restriction, check out Omoshiro rental car. I made a video about it here - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-isbnBfJOHrQ.htmlsi=U7AVM7a7qP7uQYrw
Yeah, its unfortunate. Although there are other alternatives! Omoshiro rental car lets you take similar cars on your own. So you can drive through the mountain passes unaccompanied and record yourself doing so. Check out a video I made of it here, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-isbnBfJOHrQ.htmlsi=U7AVM7a7qP7uQYrw
