How do you put it back in? The one I need to repair or replace goes into the banister and into the floor. There’s a hole in the floor and the banister that it’s set into at least an inch deep on each end. Do I have to remove the whole banister somehow?
I came to ask the same thing as the one I’m dealing with is set about an inch deep into the floor and into the banister. The only way I see doing it is by removing the whole banister, somehow.
Great repair technique, just what I needed! Only problem I had was drilling the holes. Drill bit traveled a little and so the holes where not exactly centered. Maybe a spade style drill bit would have been easier to control?
