How to Repair a Leak/Punture in an Inflatable Packraft Kayak -
After a recent outing on the River Lune my Biluta packraft took some hammer. It picked up a hole somewhere along the trip.
Let's fix it!

Yes Karl I asked what model the Gumotex was yesterday but after that short snippet of Mr eighty quid I don't want one now plus they are 1300 quid no thanks but I do accept it could have been user error anyway another good vid on a kayak repair .

Hi There. I've been trying to fix some holes in my Biluta Packraft but have been struggling hugely with glues. PVC glue seems to work for about 1 month and then they peel off. I then turned to West Systems 655-K epoxy. Supposed to do PVC, Hypwerlon etc but that just peeled straight off!!! Will try the Gumotex glue next!! Do you know what the Biluta is made of, mines the exact same model as yours. I assumed PVC?

Yes it's PVC. If you check through my more recent videos you'll see a Field Test repair video. I used the Biluta for that too. What you can also see in the video is the Gumotex skeg mount I attached plus the repair patch I glued on the base. They're still going strong. And the video itself shows 3 other, quick fixes to consider 👍😊

@@MoreThanJustaCleaner Aha! I just watched those videos too. So it seems "Gumotex" may be the answer! I use my Biluta as a tender for my Drascombe Lugger. It's super light so I can take it cruising but I actually use it to get on and off my mooring now. its so stable!! Many thanks

@@MoreThanJustaCleanerHi. Just so you know. I got some Stormsure and Elastick and it has done a brilliant job. I did what you did and spotted the stormsure on and left for 24 hours. To be honest this would probably have worked on its own, very impressed. I then patched over with the Elastick. Job done!!!
