Hi, So glad it helped. If you have a combi boiler or know someone else that does and would like to save on energy / bills, see the following ... myboiler.com/combi-boiler/reducing-the-flow-temperature-for-a-condensing-combi-boiler-for-upto-8-percent-saving-on-your-gas-heating-bills/?src=ytc All the best, Jay K
I have Bulldog valves. I have one that is seized on fully open. I have sprayed Plusgas on it and left it a while but it isn't moving. What should I do?
Hi, did you resolve this? Usually if this technique doesn’t work, TRV replacement is recommended. We have a list of some good quality TRVs if you would like it? JK
Hi, look like you would need to eventually replace the gland seal if you have a plastic insert type trv, or replace the insert if you have a replaceable insert type valve, otherwise a complete replacement of the valve. JK Apologies for the late response, your comment was held for review.
Pin moves freely on my radiator when pushed up and down, but when TRV is set to zero to turn off the radiator in a particular room, the radiator is still hot. Does this mean the TRV is faulty then.
Hi, very likely there is some rubbish obstructing the internal valve, causing heated water to go through, alternatively it is also possible the trv head is faulty and not pushing the pin down. You can use the decorators cap to see if you can close the radiator, as this pushes the pin down. JK
Mine does not open when I install the TRV, even if I put it on max level. But when I remove the TRV head, the heat starts to radiate. What could be the problem?
