Biological remembrance. Great description! I too find a lot of that when I buy an old wrist watch. For the wrist watch I wear, now and then I remove the biological remembrance with a tooth pick and tooth brush. It really builds up. The use of the Rodico to catch the clip is good.
Hi, I am writing to you from Italy and following your beautiful videos on Seiko repairs. I own a Seiko 7A38 7000 which has a problem. I run the stopwatch and regularly the right counter is activated, marking the tenths of a second. But the long hand which should turn and indicate every second elapsed remains stationary. The left-hand counter that marks every minute that has elapsed works perfectly as the hand clicks every minute, although the long second hand remains stationary. When I reset the two counters are reset regularly. Can you help me figure out how to fix it? Thanks
Looks like the chronograph spring is misplaced, this is common on these watches. Open the case back and take a picture of the movement and compare it with pictures you find on google. You should find many pictures and forum thread pointing at this issue
is that the original band on both? ones ive seen have a slightly different band but then again those were titled as a 7t34-7a10 even though they looked identical to yours.
@@onlyvintagewatches Well looks like I’ve got a dead movement do you have any tips on a replacement for the watch band slider not the pin but the other part
@@onlyvintagewatches I still think it has a good resale value though even in its current condition while it’s not running it’s still a pretty good vintage watch and it might be an easy fix you never know

So the question is, what happened to that case back gasket? Most likely some idiot jeweler changing the battery tossed it. That is what usually happens. So sad. Especially with that particular movement.
Well said Matthew Well said(i remember from your old SEAMASTER/PARNIS vidz the splendid level of Bile/Hatred you have for Watch tinkerers as a species)................sentiments to whit i HEARTILY CONCUR!!!...hahahaha
