😤😤😤CAAATS!!! You can’t live with them and you cannot live without them..😻 What do you doo???watch RU-vid videos on how to fix all the damage you get from your cat...and then continue loving your cat like nothing happened...
Hi CheesePlow. This process will work on faux leather as well as other imitation leathers. The only additional steps that may be required are to apply a coat of a mixture of Adhesion Promoter and Cross Linker X before applying the Leather Colourant. This is only necessary on high use areas such as a seating base or armrests. For low use areas you can follow the steps shown in the video.
Hi Gabrielle, Indeed, it is an all too common problem for cat lovers! It does not have to be quite the disaster it first seems, all you need is a little bit of knowledge on how to fix the problem and the right products! If you need any advice or have any questions, just let us know. Thanks1
***** this doesn't involve foil. This process involves reducing damage, strengthening the damaged leather surface then re-colouring the leather to match the rest of the coach. The whole coach is a big job but it's do-able! If you'd like more specific help please call or email with pictures and we'll see what we can recommend (contact information under the video)
Hi, FC. Your video has given me a measure of cautious hope. My 1940s chair was just covered with a recycled leather product that was supposed to be more durable than the old vinyl that was on the chair. This was an important detail because I have pets. (I later found out the material is only 50% leather, not 80% as I was told. Nor was it particularly durable.) Within a week, the cat scratched it, leaving a number of pin-sized holes and picks in the material. I'm hoping your method above will work for me, although the material is pebbled so I'll have a few odd smooth spots on the chair. Any other advice would be gratefully appreciated.
They do make what used to be called "Kitty, No!" And they are sprays that deter, to varying degrees of success. That stuff worked for me, but I can't find it anymore. Now, a few water-filled spray bottles set to jet stream tend to get the point across, and some have had to be stored away until the newbies learn to behave better, but the water. You can add a few drops of a harmless scent (being very careful there) that they won't like, something natural that won't hurt them if they lick it off. But cats are smell sensitive and will more quickly learn. Using icky smells, or double stick tape or foil on corners also helps to some degree. Not cardboard or carpet. They love that. I do have a few items wrapped in thick tarp right now, as I am not around enough to reinforce the rules. Good luck everyone with naughty furry kids...
@@misskim2058 They need to sharpen their claws _somewhere._ Cats needs scratching posts and can easily be trained to use them, just like you train them to use a litter tray. A cat treat or rewarding them with petting every time they do what you want is a far less stressful way - for cat and owner - of reinforcing the behaviour you _want_ to see, rather than punishing what you don't. Is the color water based? And can graining paper be used on your filler as on heat cured compounds? Otherwise repair area will loose grain and appear flat in comparison to surrounding area
Hi, replying from over the pond here...do you happen to ship your products for this type of repair to the US? And if so, is it common for your company to serve American customers? I only ask because after searching for cat scratch repair issues multiple times over more than a year, your company ALWAYS comes up first in my search along with this great, impressive video! And finally, do you offer email assistance if needed to help if needed with a repair? I've researched A LOT and your video repair outcome is the best I've seen without having to hire an in-home professional!
+eclecticexpressions Hi, we have a site in the USA dedicated to serving our customers from the USA. Just use .com at the end of our web address instead of .co.uk and you will find it. All of the products you see are available to purchase from this site and you can also contact our team in the USA for help and guidance. Thanks, The Customer Care Team, Furniture Clinic.

I'm really sorry I didn't take before and after shots but my couches were twice as bad as this... it was either try to repair of dump them... I am totally new to this and it was perfect finish... absolutely perfect... Would you believe my husband has since let the god damn cat back in that room and i have to do a little repair again but not really worried All I will advise is ensure the colour matches .... leather doctor did not include the correct mixes for me to make dark cream but when i emailed them they sent on extra bottles to ensure i had match.. well done leather doctor/ furniture clinic/ scotch doctor
Furniture clinic are the manufacturers of the product. They supply the other 2 companies with product who just rebrand it. Furniture clinic wouldn't have give you tints to mix the colour yourself. They have a spectrophotometer which scans your leather to give you the exact colour match. It does look great.
I will not be able to match my color, however, I have extensive acrylic paint colors from my own faux painting adventures. Will acrylic paint work fine? I'm actually repairing a faux leather insert on top of a cabinet, so it won't get wear from bodies sitting on it. Advice?
Hi! very clear and useful video, but none of you links work anymore. I'm looking for the kit on your website and can't find it. would you be able to put new links?
Hi! Here is a newer version of this video - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZeyM7I7yNms.html This video also shows off the new kit we offer which you can find here : www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/leather-repair-kit
Good morning. I read on your site that unfortunately you don't ship to Italy. right? So I will buy your products on Amazon but I need some advice please. I want to restore and completely paint an ivory-colored leather 3-seater sofa. 99% of them are cat scratches. Which products should I purchase and in what quantity? Thank you
Hi there, international deliveries are available via www.furnitureclinic.co.uk. You will need the Leather Colourant Kit and Leather Repair-add-on for a full restoration.
Hi, the Leather Colourant Kit is designed to restore or change the colour of leather. To repair any damage on the leather, you can purchase the Repair Add-On, which includes the Leather Binder. www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/repair-add-on
Usually cats scratch sofas and other furniture because they have nothing else to scratch. Best to introduce the cats to a it's own large scratch pad and crush catnip over it to attract the cat. Also clip your cats nails every 1-2 weeks. I've had 6 cats in my home at one time, ever damaged any furniture at all because I do the above.
went to your website but nowhere did i find samples of the colors you offer for this fix, i need to see the shades of the colors you have available, my sofas are a color between cream and beige, therefore i'd like to see samples for the colors so i know which to get.
Hi, All of the products in this video can be ordered from furnitureclinic.com (if ordering from the USA/Canada) or furnitureclinic.co.uk if ordering from anywhere else in the world. Just let us know if you have any problems! Hope this helps, Kind Regards, The Customer Care Team, Furniture Clinic.
Lighting and many factors can affect what color it may look like on your own item. If you aren't sure between two colors, get both colors just of that step of the process, and blend them to match. Test a mix, use droppers (usually free at a pharmacy if you ask politely) and few drops at a time in a little dish or plate, to figure the ratio, and test it out on the underside where no one will see it and wait for it to dry. (Paints dry a different color, or may appear lighter or darker once completely dry, test paints in the room they'll be in). Then go ahead and mix up more, holding some back to adjust if necessary. I do this all the time with paints and finishes, even a similar trick with spray paint. I use 2-4 colors, cross-spraying 2 at the same time and keeping the cans moving, always spray beyond the item so there are no heavy spots,, trading out for the others as I go, and building up light layers. You can match any color you want to create. Worked great for adding a brick feature that needed to go with my older brick house. No way could I find such bricks, but I spray painted and sealed new ones, and they look the same. No one can tell the difference, for anyone doing that DIY. Also a similar trick to make any ceiling paint (if you want white) go with your walls. Just just add a touch of the wall color, no more than a cup (less if it is a dark color) to a gallon of almost any shade of white (first try to find a warm white if it's a warm wall color, and a cool if it's cool, but really it's no big deal), and mix it in. Start with less, if course. It will make sure the white doesn't fight the wall color. Just a few tips for matching/blending.

Hi, Nice video. I need to fix my recliner (black) - it is torn in places that one can see the innards. Not sure uf your kit can help. Regardless, where can I buy it and how much is the cost? Thanks in advance.
I wanted to get this to fix the cat scratches on my black leather couch, but when I clicked the link for this kit, it shows leather glue and heavy filler instead of "leather binder". Is the leather glue the same as leather binder?
The binder can be purchased separately. if you look at the links under the video, it has links to both . You can just tick the item you need from this page and it includes written instructions too - www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/How_To_Repair_Cat_Scratches_On_Leather So you'll need: Leather binder Leather repair kit Then if the damage is small - Leather touch up kit If the damage is large - Leather colourant kit Let me know if you have any issues.
Great video! I have a big eagle patch on the back of my black leather jacket that I'm thinking removing. Will the old holes were the stitches were will be noticeable even after applying the sealer and color afterwards??... I don't know.. Any thoughts from a pro, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!
Hello Luis, Heavy Filler would be the best option and can be found it our Leather Repair Kit. It is a very flexible filler used for fixing scuffs, scratches & holes in leather. This can be used to fill in the stitch holes before you sand and colour the. Hello, i have a brown leather sofa, the damage from cat scratches is not as bad as this, just the odd scratch here and there. What kit would be best for me 2 touch these up? Thanks. Laura.
Hi Eyesskyes , For smaller areas (areas roughly the size of a tennis ball or less), we offer a Leather Repair Touch Up Kit, this contains a base colour plus a number of tints (with instructions on colour matching), so that when you are ready to apply colour over your repair, you can get an exact match. For larger areas, that require a Leather Colourant Kit for this stage, if you are unsure of the colour you are ordering, we offer a colour matching service. For this, all you need to do is send us a sample of the leather to be matched (this can be cut from the excess leather on the underside of the furniture), and we will produce an exact match to your furnitures original colour to be sent with your kit. For either of these options, or just for a bit more advice you can reach our team in the UK on 0844 879 3691 (Email enquiries@furnitureclinic.co.uk) or in the USA on (866) 931-8095 (help@furnitureclinic.com). Hope this is of some help to you, Kind Regards, The Customer Care Team, Furniture Clinic
Yes we have a few different solutions depending on the extent of the damage. If the scratch is deep I'd recommend using the repair kit to fill in the crack before using a touch up kit to cover the damage. Here's a bundle with both at a discount - www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/Leather_Repair_Touch_Up_Bundle.php
Is it possible to do anything like this with not real leather? My cat scratched on my $349 gaming chair wich I love so deerly and its not possible to get a new one of the same style anywhere anymore.
Hello, I am trying to purchase a cat scratch repair kit from your site. My leather chairs are the same color as the one in this video, do you know which exact color the couch in this video is? I'm thinking it's either ivory or light cream, but I'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Depending on how the leather has been prepared it can be more textured. To achieve a seamless repair on a more textured leather we suggest you use the Grain Copier, which allows you to transfer the grain of the surrounding leather onto the prepared area. Here you go - www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/Grain_Copier
+Sprinter Bread Maker Hi, yeah, it can lose the grain texture with repairs like this as shown in the video, we do offer products to replace this on our website also, but this would be another video altogether. The results either way are much better than the horrible scratches and holes i'm sure you agree! Need any further guidance or have any questions, just let us know!
