I gave a thumbs for this video because it got me 90% of the way there. So I thank the RU-vidr for showing the overall method to this. That was great! However, this procedure may look easy and I did it for my 2017 Highlander Unlimited Platinum SUV, but I recommend that this should be done by 2 people or else you are going to have to disconnect all the power wire harness connections to the the door panel when you take it off - this was missed in the video. My wife helped hold the panel while I disassembled and re-assembled. Couple things to note that when the author mentions the rubber seals, it's the 2 rubber seals that are pressed into the steel frame on either end of the window. Once I took the panel off I had to slip the front one around the wire harness connector to get it out. The rear small one just popped off. No issues, you just need to remember the orientation of how they are press onto the steel frame until the door panel is put back on. The other issue you are going to run into the the small illumination light at the bottom rear of the door panel. When snapping off the panel the assembly came apart and landed on the ground. I found the easiest way to put this back on was to pop the transparent polycarbonate cover out of the door panel removing it towards the inside of the vehicle - it's a snap fit on one side in the panel. Then take the plastic light housing and assemble it to the polycarbonate housing. Then remove the light which is attached to the wire harness coming out of the door steel frame. Snap this into the cover/housing assembly. Now take this 3 pc assembly and snap it back in through the door panel. So now your door panel is completely re-assembled. Now the tricky part is if you haven't unclipped all the rest of the wire harness connectors from the door panel and you have your wife holding the panel for you lol... Toyota doesn't give you much length of wire for the bulb, so you'll have limited space between the door panel and the door frame in order to snap the connector back into the bulb housing assembly in the door panel. I honestly wish I took some pictures. It was straight forward me but I'm an automotive engineer and am well versed in these types of assemblies. Good luck and btw the car door opens and closes silently now. Thanks again to the original poster for making me dangerous enough to attempt this with success!
