All these videos are dumb...all you need is extremely hot water from the tap.,hot water boiled or sitting in a water tank removes all chemicals ,easily turns to acid when charged , in fact i went through quite a bit of clothing ,thinking its just water ?? first of all shake the battery ,if you hear rattling from inside then , all those lead pieces must come out first ..they short out the battery cells .i drill the inside of fillers slightly for more room for bigger pieces , shake it upside down . or do whatever it takes .when no peices left fill battery cells with hot water or even boiled water ,put on charge for a day or so. to build up acid ,the voltage may vary , if the batttery was clean , after filling with hot water you should get welll over 12 volts..if it was old wwith pieces of lead, no worries ..use a multi meter one on positive and the neg in the first cell , each cell must read at least 2 volts .. usaully cell 1 or celll 6 is very low.. heres the trick .. twist a copper wire around the neg of voltmeter about 16 -18 guage 6 inches or so and move the copper wire around inside the cell until you break the short ..the cell should jump up right away to 2 volts when u hit the right spot.and your battery will also jump from say 11.4 right up to 12.6 .or even better tap lightly around the cells 1 and 6 with a charge and multimeter , watch for rise in voltage ,do not bash the battery use a rubber ended screwdriver ..a little trcky at first , it may go the opposite drop in voltage , no worries though just tap lightlt in same area ..until voltage comes back up. and you have also found the main short....afterwards .charge with a load and you have yourself a marine battery ..i cherged an old battery i could only get 10 volts back from completly dead .. with a load drain from a cordless drill i wired up ..that 10 volt battery had amazing amps ..after charge ..give thumbs up when it works for you..
