Hi - what might cause an induction cooktop to stop sensing the pan correctly? I have a cooker with 4 induction rings. Only on one ring it started to show error E when I use any pans except the biggest heaviest frying pan. I think something broke on that ring in connection with sensing the presence of the pan. What should I look for please?
Creative World it's old - from 2011. It always worked before then the fault started. I don't know why it works with only a heavy pan but not a normal sized one.

Creative World I just checked the sensor and it has a resistance of 56k ohms at room temp 20C then when I warm it up with my finger it drops to 51k ohms. Since it seems to respond to temperature I think it is ok.
