Imitation Flame On Space Heater Not Working ended up being the motor, found a replacement on amazon I had no numbers to go by, took a chance and found one that worked. not a bad fix, I found that when I turn it on sometimes the flame will run backwards sending the imitation flames downward but if I turn it off and back on will go the other way. I just did it. I was so depressed that it stopped flaming, and it was froze up. I sprayed the box with lubricant and it works! 😊

Awesome!!! This worked perfectly!! I had ordered a brand new fireplace for $300 on amazon but as I thought about it, I thought I would see if there were any videos to fix it and I ran into yours! I ordered the exact part for $12 and popped it right in there! Fixed it and cancelled the new fireplace i ordered! Thank you! 👍😃

I just bought one of these imitation flame heaters at Sam's Club just a few days ago, enjoying the heater/imitation flames tonight while watching another one of your great informative videos. I will know what to do now if the imitation flame stops working and you know it will at some point.

Thank you so much for this video. I have a lovely electric fire place, the heater works, but the flames went out. I had no idea what to do, I am still not sure if it is this same issue or maybe the lights isnide that makes the flames? I wish there was another video showing the different potential problems. But this was a great tutorial, very easy to follow. Blessings.

Superbly produced video. My friend’s MasterFlame TED20 fireplace is very noisy but it is not the blower so I suspect it is the motor that you so superbly replaced. Thank you very much for sharing your experience in such a professional video.

Purchased an almost identical motor on eBay for $9 shipped free from China and I repaired my friend’s fireplace in 20 minutes. Excellent result.

I've got the Mach 1, 3 line fluted trim with medallions. No easy off panel. I think you have to go through the plaster log. I chose not too and settled for shooting wd40 into axle holes and motor spindle, which was hard to see. It's running quiet now. Also took time to replace bulbs and clean dust out of head unit.

Mine stopped lighting up. I used to smack it to get it to light up. It won't light up anymore. I guess it's just a bulb? Edit: it was the bulb. I ordered some 15 watt bulbs.

its a microwave platter motor that why it changes direction every time you power up. I made the same mistake.

I am trying to repair a Febo Flame ZHS-28-B / Syle Selections F13-I-002-021C for my parents. The "starter" is bad and needs to be replaced based upon the information I was provided (?). I'm hoping you can help me determine what needs to be replaced as I can't find anything called a "Starter". Thanks! Rob

What if the replacement that I purchased has two wires, but the original has three wires? I ordered the same thing in terms of 120V AC 60Hz

I am not sure, I ordered this one amzn.to/2ND6fbQ and was lucky enough to get the right one, I have noticed that sometimes it will run backward, but still working fine, anything markings on the side of your old one that you can see to help? The only thing that I can think of is maybe the third wire is an equipment ground? I looked online myself and can not see a motor with 3 wires. they make so many types of thees synchronous motors it is tough to get the right one.

Mine looks like you’d but the led lights stopped working. Where can I get replacements? Thanks for any ideas you may have. I have the manual but it just says call a technician.

That is the problem with a lot of these heaters they sell very few parts for them.

What do you do if the light bulbs don't even turn on is that also a motor issue? I plugged the unit in and the ignition switch lights up I press it and there is resistance but then nothing happens. I thought the bulbs were faulty so I replaced them but no dice they don't even turn on.

I have a Dimplex model dfg2562. It is making a squeaking sound. I shut the heat off and keep the flame on, and it still squeaks. I can not turn off the flame and keep the heat on. Is this dangerous? How can I fix the squeak. I can did with the squeak as long as it doesn't cause a problem.

I replaced the synchronous motor, but the motor still doesn't work, I tried 2 new motors, the right one , is there a fuse that's burnt or something else? please. t lights work fine, heater works fine, just the flame rod doesn't refuses to work, I would appreciate any help

Hmm. sounds like the power supply may be bad? unfortunately, they do not separate the power supplies its all on one board. could be just a blow fuse on board or a diode?

hard to believe they are all bad, you may wont to test the voltage going into them first. LEDs do go bad but generally not all at once,

Yes, I failed to talk about that in this video you need to have a Synchronous CCW Electric Motor and you put in Synchronous CCW/CW Motor so every time it starts it may go CCW or CW. My heater is working fine but the fire part isn't. It was working fine then it just didn't come on the next time I tried to use it. I replaced the light bulbs today and the tin park is spinning but the light bulbs aren't even turning on. Is there any hope 😭
