Interesting! I have a few questions, though: - How many swollen LiPos have you repaired till now by puncturing them? - Did you face any fire issues or toxic gasses with any of them? - Did you discharge the LiPos before puncturing them? Or charge/discharge doesn't matter? - After repairing them, did the capacity increase or stay the same as before repairing them? The reason I ask these questions is, I always heard/read that puncturing a swollen LiPo battery is dangerous, but recently I saw a few videos like yours where LiPos were repaired by puncturing.

No dangerous but you care some , when you punching that time very slight punching only upper cover punch ,No penetrate into inside.after slight punching push battery or remove gases or after this punch sill using silicon tube, 100 percent you repair or no any dangerous effect , but take some care.

Thanks for the response. Will your method also work on smartphone LiPo batteries? I have a swollen LiPo battery that I am not using, but if I can restore/repair it, I can use it as a backup battery. You used Resi-Bond to seal the holes, but I don't have Resi-Bond. Can insulation tape or Fevi-Kwik be used to seal the hole on the LiPo, instead? Thanks.

No , it's major disadvantage of lipo battery after used it automatically swollen

Lipos are highly reactive to oxygen that’s why if it’s puffed and you puncture it it explodes I don’t know how this one didn’t

No It not fire because no dangerous gases you do minor punched only gases are removed than after again sal it.

@@DhadamRobotics Are u serious? You have no idea what you are doing, kid. Those gases inside are highly flammable and you shouldn't punctate the seal around the cells.

I encountered 2pcs unusable Lipo Batt because of sudden voltage drop issue after doing this repair... I think the gas is essential for chemical reaction during battery operation. So if you out gassed it there will be a great impact on battery performance. so research more 1st before doing this method guys. Just a friendly reminder. I don't want you guys suffer the same thing...

If Battery voltage suddenly reduce then problem inside of battery cell , if your battery puffers then no any problem in voltage.

@@DhadamRobotics Before my battery runs normal when it is still bloated.. Problem only occurs after I pop out the gases on bloated cells. given that I securely cover the tiny hole that I made.

A swollen battery is a dead battery. You can't fix it.

Once try to charge if any voltage present after half hours then you can try other diagram no chance for repair

First carefully remove cover ,then check which sell wire is remove , after verifying , solder them , or check using battery checker or multimeter

No, it isn't. It's very dangerous to release the gas as it can spontaneously combust when released!

@@DhadamRobotics how do I believe mine is 3000mah orange lipo I just make a mistake and drained one cell below 1v and now am crying just because of I didn't use lipo buzzer for while and now that cell is puffed and not charging And even if it gets charged it drains like am using capacitor Lost my 2200rs just for that 100 rs buzzer And you think it will work again

Yes ,how many cell lipo , if any one damage then remove this or again connect to other cell ,if your battery 11v then remove one cell or make 7 v battery
