Hello, 10:32 second into your film, during your reassembly, you use a Q tip…which has a purple side and a white side. What do you have on your q tip? I’m new to this whole subject of lens repair….and any help / knowledge would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your help, Sincerely, Joshua

It started back working for me up to the point I have to mount the part from 13:47 back on - then it stops again and I can't figure why. Any ideas?

I had the exact same thing happen to me. What I found was that the inside of that part and the small flange that it rotates around once it's installed are grinding together. As a matter of fact, when I went to pull that part off it was stuck and I had to use a tool to pop it off. I think the fix is to either get that part new or smooth it out with a Dremel tool.
