Thank you for your kind words 🙏 No, sadly I could not find a way to change the diaphragm on the plastic type 😔 But one thing to be glad about this type, any moisture that was accumulated on the diaphragm with eventually dry by itself, and will not go spoilt, unlike on the metal type that would get damaged as the rust from the metal parts gets developed on its diaphragm. By the way, thanks for watching 🙏 🙂
Thanks for the video! Tomorrow I'm recording a happy birthday video for my friend and realised something is wrong with the membrane. I will try to fix tomorrow and hope for the best!
That's the main problem with those plastic ones, as the top has been glued permanently, and will sure break off when it is forced open. There's no other way but to get a new one. Anyway, thanks for watching 🙏 🙂
You're welcome 👌 Oh ya, cling film is a good idea 👍 By saying sealing ring, you meant that you've managed to seal it back after changing the membrane? By the way, thanks for watching 🙏
You have 2 choices to try ; 1. From the plastic wrapper off a rock candy, or 2. The parchment paper that is always used to line a tray when we bake a cake. Number 1 will producea much crispier sound, while number 2 will make a louder sound.
I bought two tin kazoos, one was broken(purple) and the other wasn't(yellow).. I actually intended to give the purple one to my friend but as I said, it's broken. Then, the yellow one broke but it was easily fixed by adjusting the funnel slightly. Idk how to fix the purple one.. adjusting the funnel and replacing the plastic inside doesn't work ;;
In this case, most probably the funnel part had went out of shape, slightly until it cannot be noticed by the naked eye. Has it been dropped or stepped on before? In a Kazoo the most important function is the contact between the ring of the funnel that is touching the vibrating diaphragm, too tight and it will not vibrate, but having parts of the diaphragm not correctly touching the funnel cover would also prevent it from producing any sound too. I'm sorry for you if the out of shape issue is true, if it is so then it is the end of the line for poor little purple :(
idk if this is for fixing the white part thingy cuz i have a hole in it and i havent gotten to the fixing part of this video yet im not sure if its for fixing what im watching this video for or just to fix a hole in the plastic red part i have the same colored kazoo
I have a metal kazoo, but the side broke.It seems like I have a cheap kazoo that is made my two peices of sheet metal being pressed to gater from top to bottom.
Any chances of using those mixed epoxy glues to fix it back? If possible you can get the ones especially to cure metal joinings, which is usually dark grey in color. But to mention that usually those epoxy glues costs highly, that you might could even buy a new kazoo with the same money. Unless it is a sentimental valued item that you might love to cherish.
The bad side about plastic kazoos is that their funnels are glued on 😔 The only way we could try is to submerge the whole kazoo (especially the funnel side) into a bowl of mineral or refined clean water, swirl it around for about 3 minutes, and then let it dry in the hot sun for about an hour or so until it dried good. All the best to you 👍
