Hello, This video is on how to clean and repair the switches on a corded craftsman leaf blower vacuum .These switches should be checked before the blower is brought in for service #craftsman #leaf #vacuum
My model has the same symptoms… and hopefully the same root cause. I’m taking it apart (16 screws!) with you right now as I type this (03:00). I sure hope you fixed the switch by the end of the vid, LoL. 😊
Thank you for sharing your experience. I don't understand; what did I miss? I thought you were going to remove the bad switch and install a new switch? You disconnected the wiring and reconnected the wiring to the same parts? I am baffled because I disassembled my Toro Power Jet F700 Electric corded leaf blower; cleaned-up the commutator and reassembled the parts back together (correctly?) and it won't start.
I hope this works! Im using a friend's blower and forgot to check the on switch prior to plugging it in, upon discovery picked it up and proceeded to the porch, it work d fin until the n xt time it was turned on then nada, thanks for using your time to teach others, it's a lost art
Thought I had the same issue so I took it apart turns out the soldering was missing and burnt on the back of switch power cable. Easy fix also just reapply soldering for a good connection and up and running again.
I'm surprised you didn't take the opportunity to add a little lube to the motor. With the simple journal bearings in there, adding some lube can extend life of the motor. That's why I'm opening mine up... but though I removed all the screws, I cannot get it to come apart. You don't really show how you do it (other than to remove screws), so I guess you had no trouble with that step?
