Been looking for info on how to fix a sagging rv roof. Thank you for your video! I initially thought about jacking the ceiling up from the inside (just like jacking the floors in my old house from the basement putting the jacks on the floor joists and slowly turning every few days to get the floor level) to get rid of the sag and hopefully level the roof. I dont know? I dont have bowels(?) In my class c. But nice video. Thank you.
When I started my roof repair on my 76 Royal, I used masonite 1/8" paneling with 2 layers of Dow blue board insulation, each layer is 1/2" thick so it gives me a total of one inch of insulating board under the road cover, the problem is it requires a redrilling of the hold down rails on the edges or to increase the side height of the ABS road cover(this is the solution I am working on currently, I am also changing the thickness of the foam board). I have already found that this has eliminated many of the sags in my ABS and has allowed me to put the arch back into my roof system without the use of cables and turn buckels. Is this the best fix? Maybe, maybe not, but it works for me.
I have a 78 Mesa that po used the turnbuckle method. I see that where the vent is it does collect some water. In youe opinion should I tighten up on the turnbuckles some more to try and get the bow out nearest the vent?
My husband and I just bought a 1979 Apache Mesa the roots in pretty bad shape do you have any suggestions as to how we can either fix it or replace it thank you
