Fun fact. If you get a white or blue modifier and you don’t like it you can go to a second octorock and it will always give you a gold modifier.

Odd, I had a fused weapon once and none of the rock octoroks would repair it for some reason. It was a pristine weapon fused with the core of a stone talus.

FYI if you’re trying to restore an amiibo weapon, giving the octorok an amiibo weapon attached to a regular weapon will completely restore the amiibo weapon’s durability if you take it to the goron separater npc in Target Town

I am glad they added a free way to repair weapons, makes the breakable weapons mechanic much less of a pain to deal with knowing that when they are about to break, drop it for these guys to repair.

@@tristanward9937 you can reroll stats on the weapons with the octos they can give your Weapons durability +3 wich means its almost never breaks after 40 Hits. So idk why people are mad about weapon durability

@@dawensci7134 yeah it kinda sucks but with fuse it’s not that big of a deal. Since you can fuse monsters which you carry like 999 of, as long as you a base even a tree branch you won’t be with a weapon. But in all honesty I just used the weapon dupe glitch so I don’t care about durability.

I know I can be REALLY hard on RU-vid content creators, but I don't think anyone has changed my opinion of them so drastically from just one video. I found 3 Royal Guard's Bows in the floating castle that have 50 attack. I've been using the Octorocks to repair them and do massive range damage. Also if you activate the momosik shrine to the right of death mountain and head north there are 3 or 4 Octorocks pretty close together.

Super glad they made this a thing. Sure the champion weapons were able to be crafted with a certain weapon, flint and a diamond, but those are the only ones that were able to be crafted.

WOW!!! This is absolutely HUGE!!! I cannot thank you enough for sharing this! I had been hoping SO BAD that they had implemented a Blacksmith system to repair weapons and such that were about to break, but this is even better! It's just a shame that such a feature was hidden behind a mechanic like this. Seems needlessly hidden if ya ask me, but I'm thankful for it nonetheless!

Im happy to see "crafting" find its way to the game through fusing and zonai devices and now the ability to repair our items is great. I love that they took un conventional approaches to these mechanics instead of like you said (and how every other game does) a blacksmith in every major settlement that you could craft or repair items at or a simple service you pay for, I love that its integrated in to the world.

Attack and Defense seem to cap at 10. Durability+ seems to be the MVP in totk. The hylian shield with that buff puts in a lot of work

Since all fusions just add a flat damage boost to your weapon, seems like durability+ on a spear is the way to go for highest DPS.

Quick question about the gloom sword, does it actually drain your hearts when using it? That's the main reason I haven't been using it and I've considered fusing it to something else to get the damage while bypassing its curse.

@@angeldude101 If it does, I just never noticed. Also, I know it doesn't drain if used when riding a Lynel! I had to fight a bunch in the depths back to back and I used it to kill them.

Just discovered that you can bring your horses from BOTW over to TOTK!!! I was completely shocked and surprised! So I went to google to see if maybe it was a glitch or something but no, it’s legit a thing!! This game just keep getting better and better!! I haven’t got to these octorocks yet in TOTK that’s awesome that this is in it. Side note: If, big if here since Nintendo has never done a trilogy of Zelda games, but if they were to make a 3rd game to the Wild series, they really need to add in Black Smiths that can either repair gear or work the way the second wind mod for BOTW works

They removed it for tourists, if I remember. A Goron explains exactly why when you go to buy the heat proof armour and says that the armour is useless.

That is such a nintendo way to take away the ability to clean rusty weapons and make the most time consuming and nonsensical way of implementing weapon repair where they could have just implemented a blacksmith or forge. This was such a dumb idea

Austin, don't forget that you don't have to take out the rock octorock to get it's ability back....every blood moon will restore it's ability. I usually do the circle track around the mountain/volcano, so I don't have to reload. Your videos are the bomb....thank you. Also, you don't need the shield....just stand at least 20 feet away.....when you see the sparkles, you know he is about to spit out the weapon and just move to the right or left and then come back after the weapon lands (essential dodge ball technique). One last note....Tulin loves to kill these things, so turn him off before you restore.

I bought the exact same Logitech Embody gaming chair and it's the most incredible desk chair I've ever used. Even among Herman Miller's other chairs it is by far the best for full mobility while being completely supported. The Aeron chair is extremely limiting in how you can sit in it while being fully supported, while in the Embody chair I can reach the ground directly behind me while still being completely seated and supported. Not only is the Embody chair herman miller's best chair, the Logitech gaming version has added padding and copper fibers, which you can't even pay extra for on the original embody chair. Plus it has the upgraded fabric and smooth casters that you would normally end up paying over $2000 for, but for only $1500. Would 100% recommend this chair to everyone, not just gamers. It's a steal for the price. All of Herman Miller's chairs come with a 12 year warranty, parts and labor included, and these chairs generally last 15-20 years, so you're basically paying about $100 a year upfront for the best desk chair you can possibly have, which is totally worth it in my opinion.

0:35 Guilty as charged. Since virtually all weapons eventually break, I never actually used the Hylian Shield until the Calamity Ganon boss fight in Breath of the Wild. @@Beyawn My understanding from this video is that it's one repair per however many of those creatures you can find per blood moon. After using them for repairs, kill them and wait for them to respawn.

These guys are absolutely vital to the pristine weapons you find in the Depths. I shudder to to think of having to go grind a new weapon every time one breaks. Instead, when it gets low I just repair it.
