On this Fixit Fingers Quick Fix, I'll show you how I replace and install old winding widow mechanisms that have broken and can not be repaired. These awning windows are very common on 1960s, 70s and 80s buildings here in Australia. I use the Whitco security winders from Bunnings which are pretty cheap, quick and easy to install and will breathe new life into stuck or jerky windows. I'll show you how it works and how to install it in about 15 to 20 minutes with only a few very basic tools.
