Replacing a ceiling light doesn’t have to be hard! Keep yourself safe by turning off the breaker and double checking the power is off with a non-contact voltage tester.
Remove the old fixture and add your new mounting bracket. To wire start by attaching the bare copper wire to the green screw (if present) AND the bare copper wire in the ceiling. Then the black wires match together and get twisted around each other and capped with a wire nut. Same with the white wires - wrap around each other and cap with a wire nut. Push all those wires back in the electrical box and fit the new light on by lining the holes up with the bracket screws. Add your nuts, bulbs, and any glass and you’re done!
