I've heard that Moen will replace the hose under a life time guarantee. But it's Good Friday morning and my wife "the boss" can't wait until Monday to call to ask, so I bought the hose and it will be delivered on Monday morning!
Moen does have a lifetime guarantee on all parts and they were very easy to deal with. They sent out the correct replacement, plus filter/gasket with no questions and when the FedEx 2 day delivery for which I paid $20 extra, failed, they sent another one out with not further delivery charge.
JMG Enterprises YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!! I am a 73 year old sickly woman whose husband died in 2008. I am alone. I watched your video to remove my faulty leaking all over the place faucet and due to Covid -19 I have not been able to find someone to replace it for me. It is August 15, 2021 and it has been leaking since Feb. 2020. It looked just like your faucet in this video. I tried everything last year I could think of to get that plastic white connection off. I followed your instructions and WOW IT WORKED!!!! I am subscribing to all your video in the future. You save me hundreds of dollars!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for this video! It’s the only one I found where the instructions were so clear that I’m sure I can do this myself instead of hiring a plumber. I’m going to Home Depot today for the $19 Moen hose replacement. NINETEEN DOLLARS - woooohooo!!
Thanks for this video. Exactly what I was looking for, just the level of instruction I needed to get this done myself. I’d normally shy away from anything plumbing related but this gave me the confidence to do it myself.
To everyone who owns any Moen or Pfister products, they guarantee their products for life. I am not the original owner of my bathroom Moen products but since they are over 23 yrs old, I just informed them that the receipts have long since been lost. If you have the style/model number the representatives may be more inclined to help you. For my other Moen product that I did have a receipt for, they only asked me for the purchase date and I didn’t have to supply them proof and the same went for when I called Pfister for a replacement part a few years ago. After finding out about these lifetime warranties, I only buy from such companies. If you ask, they will send you instructions on how to replace the part yourself so you end up saving money in more ways than one. Hope this info helps anyone.
Thank you so much!! I watched this video because my hose was stuck and wouldnt pull out. I didn't know the hose just hangs under the sink like that (i thought it just winds up in some magical place lol). Turns out I just had too much stuff under the sink and something heavy fell on the hose and was holding it down lol. 20 second fix!
Thanks for sharing this video! For your information, I called Moen and they provide parts, free of charge, for all defects in their faucets so they just shipped me a new hose and wand! Great company!
I already wrote once, having watched your video and being inspired to undertake this task myself. Here’s the post-game. (1) Your video was 100% right on the money. I happen to have the exact same faucet you do and so the clips, etc, were the same. (2) The hardest part for me was figuring out how to undo that little clip that holds the hose to the water line. I couldn’t quite make out from the video how to do it. But I kept fiddling w it and it worked. Re-connecting it was a lot easier. (3) I took advantage of the situation to clean the nozzle w some Lime Away and now it functions a lot better - bonus! (4) When I unscrewed the nozzle, there was a tiny mesh insert that I wasn’t expecting. I cleaned that too and reinstalled it. Turns out, I put it back in upside down so when I reconnected the nozzle the rubber gasket wasn’t forming a good seal. I figured that out, corrected the problem, and now it’s all good! (5) I also took advantage of the situation to thoroughly clean the cabinet below the sink which from my wife’s point of view was the icing on the cake! Thanks again for the video!
The steps were very easy to follow. I should've gotten the line you recommended as the one I got from Lowe's has a plastic end that connects to the water line and more expensive.
Thank you so much! just ordered one on Amazon my self since the hose was squirting down below under the weight and didn't know where it was coming from,Great Video!
I followed exactly what you said, and now my plumbing problem is 100% fixed! This is my first time doing plumbing and I never thought I could do it, but you made it look so easy with your simple steps.Thank-you so much you are excellent, I love you!
Thank you! I took apart my sprayer to clean gunk out of the aerator, and I couldn’t figure out how to get it back together without water shooting out the side. This helped! It’s perfect now. :)
Thank you for going through every single step. I can honestly say that was so much easier than I expected prior to watching your video. Got it all done in one day...Amazon same day and done. Many thanks my friend!
Thank you very much! Just replaced the hose on our Moen kitchen faucet with my 9 year old son. It was a fun learning experience for both of us. Your instructions were right on point! Thank you again!
thanks for the video. My faucet kept falling down from the nose. I just learned from you about counter weight. Once I fixed the counter weight my faucet stayed in place.
Thank you! I did exactly as you said and it works great again - no more leaks. You just saved me hundreds of dollars for a plumber. Why? I iive in SOCAL.
Thanks so much for the easy to follow step by step instructions! Your video gave me the confidence to easily replace my Moen faucet hose in just a few minutes.
Thanks, this helped me understand what all those parts were and how to turn water off/on, etc. My leak ended up not being in the hose itself but in the connection of hose to waterline, covered by a large plastic piece. I unscrewed and made certain that the plastic cover and the o ring all that looked intact, rescrewed in and the leak is gone, whoohoo!!! It had just come partially unscrewed is all. I feel very proud. :)
Thanks so much for this. Mine wasn't split but the pressure was low after I replaced the water heater so I knew something was stuck in it. Mine has a nut but all in all same difference
We were out shopping for a NEW FAUCET and I happened to spot the replacement hose at Home Depot. Neither of us are handy but we managed to change the hose because of your video. We were just going to buy a new faucet and call the plumber. Our only problem with the whole process was the awkwardness of the install - at 66 and 70 laying down or being on your knees isn't very forgiving. But the job is done and I have my sink back.
Thank you so much for the video and link! You were a life saver. Ordered the part with ease and it was super easy to fix myself. Thank you for the simple step by step guide.
Great video! However not necessary to shut the water off, I’m saying this because some folks will try to shut the water off only to possibly create a really big leak. So just a heads up for anyone reading this, you do not have to shut the water off, the lever on the faucet controls the water in the spray head so just make sure that’s off. Cheers 🙌🏻
Thank you for this. I took off the sprayer to clean it, but didn't retain the hose and it went back up into the faucet. I also know how to change it should that time come!
