Good pacing, you didn't try to make an epic out of it. I could pause, do the next step, resume...exactly what I needed. BF Falcon mk I was all Phillips head 👍
Thank you mate 👍 appreciate the feedback and thanks for watching. Happy to see the videos put to good use... Hope you check out the other Falcon DIY vids too.
Bro you just saved me $200 at the shop. Took my BA for a check to see how much it'll cost to get fixed. Some bloke punched my mirror because I was chilling at the Coles parking lot and he wanted to park. Shattered the mirror. Thanks a lot man. Appreciate it.
Thanks to your video I saved $300. Excellent step by step instructions, but boy did I struggle to pop up the triangle piece in the corner. I needed every bit of my elbow grease 😂. Thanks again.
Dude thanks for the video. Broke my mirror with a stone that got kicked up from my mower. Got given a second hand unit but really needed to know how to swap the cover and now I do. Awesome work.👍
Certainly will you never know what bits of wisdom I could pick up. I've got a "68 XT wagon in the garage that I am going to give the rust a go at fixing the rust in. Pure novice here.@@Horus_Works
Thanks mate , that looks pretty simple , someone wiped my mirror out and the mechanic can’t replace it for another 10 days ,, I’ll have a crack at it now
Thanks Mate! I was looking for a video on how to remove the outer plastic on the mirrors without taking it off the car to paint! I Just put a nasty new deep scratch on my drivers side plastic mirror trim piece, I cant let that stay when the rest of the cars paint is perfect, Luckily I have the correct paint & clear coat ready to go when I have a some spare time. Appreciate the video mate!
Ah, that's what I like to see, the videos being helpful!! Glad to see this one helped you out!! Best of luck with fixing the scratch 👍 Most welcome, and hope you liked and subbed 😉
Great vid mate, im changing my mirrors with aftermaket ones from Aussie, (im in nz) but the actual mirror glass is distorted & annoying, i think im cross eyed😊 but my question however is how do i take the mirror glass piece off? Thanks
Thanks for watching mate - I appreciate it 🙂 To answer your question, I'm not sure as I never tried this when mine was apart. But I have heard that the mirror pops out... I'd remove the assembly completely, take out the back cover, and see if that gives you any clues... hope you manage it and good luck!
What a nice gesture not to make that guy pay for your mirror! By the way how did you spray it to look taht good and no orange peel? Wonder how it would look if you had done the mirrors in that carbon fiber wrap material you done your radio/ hvc control facia in?
Thanks Tony, yeah I felt sorry the old guy. I wanted to keep the mirrors white, just to match the car, but it would have been easy to wrap the mirrors in Carbon - it's an easy shape. To avoid orange peel, paint on a hot and slightly humid day. This way, the paint evens/levels out because of the heat (like a pool of water), and also because of the humidity, it won't dry before the paint hits the surface.
Detailing and cleaning of parts (even if those parts are invisible) matters. This Falcon UTE kicks @ss (as I've said before) I will say it a couple of times, I guess. :-)) Take care!
Janine why not give it a go? It really is very easy. As long as you have a couple of simple tools you could get this done. Definitely don't pay $325 to get this done 😕
@@Horus_Works all good ... the guy at the wreckers replaced mine in the end cost $100 ... very happy me 😊 ... you were the impetus for me contacting the wreckers.
Interesting, my problem is a little different. The mirror appears to have popped out but left the clips there. There's a cure for OCD, it's called BEER. 😁😁
