Hi. I took mine apart like you did. Everything is in ok shape I guess except fir maybe the felt washer is pretty thin. Anyway the clutch just doesn’t want to engage the roller it slips constantly. Clutch cams do look worn though. I even squeezed in on the housing while running to see if the clutch needed some help and it did spin it but not with any torque. What can you suggest? New clutch plates?

My clutch mechanism keeps slipping. I'm not sure if I'm using the right term, but this is what's happening. I try to vacuum with the switch on carpet, and then almost immediately, it slides to tools. Is there some way to fix this problem?
