www.paragonweb.com The thermocouple is the temperature sensor that extends inside the firing chamber of a digital electric kiln. Made of two dissimilar metals, the thermocouple generates a small voltage at the tip when exposed to heat. The thermocouple is fairly easy to replace. Open the switch box or control panel, and follow the instructions shown in the video to replace the thermocouple. Be sure all connections are tight. A loose thermocouple or wire connection will cause erratic temperature readings. The video was produced at the Paragon kiln factory in Mesquite, Texas USA. Narration and demonstration: Shelia Collins, Kiln Goddess; camera and editing: Arnold Howard
