Welcome back guys. In this video I will show you step by step how to change the valve cover gasket on most V6 engines. Be sure to follow me on my social media accounts! facebook: / a2zautomasters instagram: / a2zautomast. .
I have this engine and it has been leaking out of the rear valve cover and just seemed daunting removing the intake manifold. It has been so hard finding how to's for my engine so this was perfect. Thank you!
How long should I wait before starting the car, letting it idle, and drive, after replacing the valve cover gaskets ? Immediately? A hour ? A couple hours ? A day ?
Quick question I was looking on how to do this job on my mitsubishi 380 I guess its the Australian version of this car I think engine looks the same just wondering if you know of any difference
Hey Ashtin! I’m not actually aware of any differences. I believe it probably called Mitsubishi 380 for the 3.8L engine but both cars should be the same.
@@a2zautomasters862 gday mate got the job done wasn't to hard except getting the gaskets out of the covers those suckers are in there I got a cut up hand trying to get them out borrowed a mates heat gun got the up to 600 still pretty stuck in there I also had alot of oil in the spark plug tubes got it all back together now fingers crossed i guess lol ty for the video 👍 really helped finding all the bolts .
weatherstripping yellow glue to glue the gasket to the cover and RTV silicone on all corners. Never use any stop leak chemicals of any sort for any type of leaks.
@@a2zautomasters862 can you give a PART NUMBER your answer to the previous question was super irrelevant. every gasket set i look for doesn't include tube seals
