Thank you for making this video Daniel. I ordered a 1-1/16 crows-foot on Amazon and it just arrived (Sunex 97734A 1/2" Dr. 1-1/16" Jumbo Crowfoot Wrench...). Plan to take a crack at this repair tomorrow. "Guesstimating" it will save us about $200 doing it ourselves given the hourly labor rate at the repair shop.

@yeraldogarcia4083 I also did a video of of how to clean that EGR tube that goes into the intake manifold that can build up and also cause the EGR to again if you don't clean it.
@erichm78 mine came off with a.bit of force, but not that much. You do it two ways. 1. Start the car and let it get warm up with normal running, and if that's works. 2. Fellow the other end of the EGR tube down to the exhaust manifold and take it.Off there.
@@mausisimaga575 I can't remember what the code was, but if it's if your code says something about e.GRE efficiency or something like that something with the e.GR valve, then it's the same code.So um, you may want to check the sea, what? What code that is
I watched your video and felt pretty good about getting this part changed. I was stopped dead in my tracks. Auto zone, Napa, advanced auto parts never heard of a 3/8 (or 1/2 inch) crows foot and they all had a look like they gazed on the arc of the covenant when I showed them a screen shot from your video. "Never seen one of those before" was all I got after 90 minutes of driving around. Where did you purchase your crows foot socket? I even got the part number of yours in the vid and I got 0 hits. Help!
This is where I got it from. 3/8" Drive Flarenut Crowsfoot Wrench Head - 12 Point www.protorquetools.com/1-1-16-williams-3-8-drive-crowfoot-flarenut-12-pt/?gad=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw4ZWkBhA4EiwAVJXwqX9LECIlruXbVVzZGo8YcthklxbJGUEhXxSOMJxf2XPUt-BZs7Sf0BoC0ggQAvD_BwE
@@fixitdaniel thanks fixitDaniel! I appreciate you taking the time to answer. They are out of stock... the only other link I found is almost as much as i paid for the egr valve; nearly 70 bucks with shipping for a single socket! Back to scouring the internet.
@@bobleveille3060 what I did was Google the crows foot the 1in 1/16 crows foot and Google and just starts to from there that's what I that's how I found that site
Hi fixitDaniel, you got lucky when you ordered that flare style crowsfoot wrench. I contacted customer service at pro torque tools asking when it would be back in stock. They checked with snap on/Williams, the manufacturer, and was told it is permanently out of stock and was discontinued. I was able to borrow a regular 1-1/16" crowsfoot from my fleet manager today. It took about 15 minutes of fiddling to get it on the nut blind, the rest was a breeze. Thanks for sharing your video and taking time to help with the tool search. I would suggest catching a few of the flare nut threads in the egr valve before bolting the valve to the bracket. It helped hold the valve in place while I installed the bolts. My 2012 Escape is just under 188k miles and still going strong after a front end rebuild and a new egr valve. Keep posting Escape videos and I'll keep watching! Thanks!
Hey guys is the crows foot wrench the only way to get that bolt out? I just got a code for the EGR today and need to save money I'm DIY'ing it. @fixitdaniel@@bobleveille3060
