1. Must have tool: Harbor Freight, PITTSBURGH Ratcheting Right Angle Multi-Bit Screwdriver Set, 8 Piece $2.99 2. Disconnect the negative battery cable (under passenger seat for 20 mins.) to recalibrate the blend door actuator system.
Thanks for adding your struggles in the video...that is a great learning tool for those who have never attempted it! Your video has helped me greatly...thanks again my friend
THANK YOU for this video! It was easy to follow along with and had good close-ups that were bright & clear. It helped me to change my full actuator. I'm a female who tries to fix things on my own and I rely so much on these types of videos, so thank you for your help!
I have a 2014 grand cherokee, my driver side works fine but my passenger side doesn't get as cold as the driver side and I have it on sync. Also if im driving long distance with ac on after a while the ac starts getting a bit warm. What could that be?
How do you tell if you need the passenger or driver's side one? Is the side that is not operating correctly needs the replacemnt? Guessing that's how it would work.
I have a question how come nobody mentions the blend door actuator above the cab air filter to the left of the filter up high and one you pointed out because there are two right there the second one is to the right of the one you’re pointing out and up a little higher. I will post a video tomorrow when I’m working on mine.
My son has the same problem on his 14 Grand Cherokee. Planning on doing the same thing you did. May replace gear and actuator to rule both out if that doesn't fix it. Hopefully that's my problem and not a leak.
Great tutorial... I have a 07 lexus gs350. I have the same kinda issue. Recirculate vs. outside. The vent doesn't close all the way, which lets outside air in. Exhaust fumes. I have been told the gear mechanism has broken teeth. Thus , it does not allow the door to close completely. This over the years has led to the climate system to automatically go to ac 😮. The dealership wants $1600 to fix this. That was two yrs.ago. I think, waaaay too much, and being told, they have to pull the dash down😮. There must be a glove box fix to access that gear. Exaggerating, "300 bolts 2 weeks later, and issue fixed, but now my dash squeeks because 200 bolts were put back instead of all of them." That was my scary thoughts. Do you have any gs350 with this issue to do video on? I'm game for self maintenance. I've had this car vehicle from day new, in 06
Watched this video to fix my car but sniped a glance of what was playing on your radio, now I’m loving on these chase shakur albums..thanks for the Easter eggs
Did you ever figure out what is wrong with the system? My local Jeep dealership said might be the housing unit? 1700 n labor and that’s not including the parts
Poor heat on one side? Your issue is probably the heater core plugged, If you can feel the airflow switching and there are no codes in the hvac unit. Theyre a parallel flow style which generally cannot be unplugged.
Thanks for the video. Which year is this Grand Cherokee because I have seen videos where the actuator is above the passenger side leg area liner (above the foot light).
