Hi. Thaks for video. If disk is hot to touch, what can I do ? Replace OEM 160 mm disk with 180 or 203 mm disk ? Is there some mechanical equivalent to BR375, which has brake pads with fins to better remove heat ?
Good afternoon. If the disc is hot, it is normal, the main thing is not to overheat and boil the oil inside the brakes, but if you have mechanical brakes, this will not happen. If the brakes are braking well, then you don't need to do anything. The 180 mm and 203 rotors are recommended for long mountain descents or for people with a large body weight. Due to their large diameter, the brakes are more difficult to adjust and can undercut due to the slightest deformation of the disc
@@NiceBikeService Thank you very much for your time. There are cheap discs like SM-RT26, SM-RT56, under 10 €, and expensive like Magure MDR-C for 32 €. Weight of me + ebike is around 120 - 125 kgs and I use ebike regulary 70 - 90 kms per day. Elevation is 120 - 720 meters. There are parts of the ride with steep decline 10 - 15 kms. Is this expensive disk for ebikes better in heat dissipation, especially in summer, or there is not much difference ? There are also som floating discs with alumimium + stell, but I see a lot of problems in videos at YT. Do you have some comparison of brakes, pads, discs in your channel ? Thanks.
Under these conditions, you'd really be better off with a slightly larger rotor or switching to expensive 4-piston hydraulic brakes. They already have pads with a radiator. So far, we don't have any comparison videos, we're more focused on repair topics. Maybe one day we will have such videos. But for now, if you want to compare different brake discs, it's better to look for them on a channel where people ride a lot of mountains
Y luego pude ponerlo todo y listo funciona 🤣😂
