Its a good idea to learn to change your cabin filter yourself since the dealerships will charge 100 dollars to do it for you.The filters are around 20-30 dollars so you can save some money.
@@yamibakura16Here's the stupid part. In order to check the filter, they have to take it out. If you refuse their replacement, they have to put it back in. For free. The only difference when you want them to replace it is, they have to open the box and put the new filter back in instead of the old one. So, anywhere from $50-$150 to open a box. THIS is why I'm the only one who changes any of our filters.
This is exactly what I needed, Thanks. Couldn't find it in the manual via the glossary. Just got the car and can't imagine how bad the old one will look.
Damn dude you are awesome. The engineering degree and the job that lead to it has made me a master at paperwork, but nothing truly value added. Thank for your help
I'm tired of dealerships trying to charge me an arm and a leg for such a simple task! Not to mention, they said I needed my front brakes replaced right away...took my car to Les Schwab and they said they still have 6mm left. Thank you so much for this video!
np and i have a front brake pad vid same car is one of my pretty recent uploads the rear ones you will have to get the tool from harbor freight Disc Brake Pad And Caliper Service Tool Kit 11 Pc (you can return it when your done) do not try to do the rears wo this tool its a nightmare but aside from that the rears are a lot like the front
You might want to change your engine air filter also just bought this mazda 3 2016 had the same amount of leaves and crap in both the engine air filter and cabin filter the engine filter is even easier to to do and will save you gas ;)
Another reason I love my Mazda; user friendly engineering. I had a Nissan years ago and changing that cabin filter was... less than enjoyable. It was best to start preparing a few weeks beforehand by donating a pint of blood because there was a good chance you'll need it on filter day. You had to basically lie on your back on the driver's side floor and, apparently, it was easiest to get into this position by first removing your kidneys (even so, it was still cheaper than the dealer). I don't miss that project.
Hi Jake Phelps, hey man I did what your video showed to do however now my fan is making a rickety noise like a constant tap or click whenever I turn on the fan.
o its this video, probally just a leaf, switch from ac to heat a few times turn air high and low if that dont work pop the filter out then do those things
Funny I checked my Honda CR V cabin filter, yes I know this video is about a Mazda but the filter was 6 years old and I had nothing like the crap I see in this video, how old was this filter ??
Oh man, I had weird smell coming out of vents, so I checked filter few minutes ago. I saw leaves like that, I was wondering if it was normal. I guess it is lol.
