Update... i ordered this guys tool and Pierre got it to me by the 3rd day. The tool WORKS LIKE A FREAKIN CHARM!!! THANKS SO MUCH BRO and sorry i havnt posted review earlier ive been busy raising these kids and working on these cars. Youve saved me a shit ton of time once again THANKS BRO YOU ROCK 🤘🤙🤙🤙
My husband used this tool to replace valve seals on my Jeep Liberty. He began using it but after trying to remove the 5th one the bolt would not move it was stripped and he was unable to remove it after trying different ways he ended having to use a hacksaw to cut it off carefully. We were so upset & dissaponted so I emailed CrunchySann and told them what happened. They replied next day. We expected tthis conpany to give us a hard time, however, to our surprise they immediately sent new one. We were so relieved. Once received my husband continued the job, however, this time he was very careful using it slowly and used graphite on the bolt between every 2 valve seals removed. We are excited & relieved that he was able to complete the job & now I have my car back thanks to the great customer service this company provides. I absolutely recommend this tool as this company stands 100% behind their product.
Just used this today, and it FREAKING. WORKS. SUPER. WELL. If you have to take the valve cover off for any reason, might as well get this and do the seals. 100% recommended
Update! Ordered the tool last week along with 16 hydraulic valve lifters. This thing worked like a charm! No issues whatsoever. No more blue smoke or lifter rattle. 100% recommended! Thank you!
Thank you very much for the positive feedback! It's great to know our customers are successfully repairing their vehicles with our products. Stay safe out there!
I was in the process of designing a valve spring removal tool for my 4.7L Ram 1500 when I came across your video. I ended up making mine very similar to yours and I can confirm that it works perfectly. I used PLA as that's all I had. 30% infill with 6 upper, lower and side layers for the main part. For the cylinder shaped part, I originally did 30% infill but that was insufficient and bolt started crushing the PLA inside the hole. I switched to 100% fill. Material usage increase was minimal and it only took another 10 minutes to print since it's such a small part. Not a single bit of crush after that. My truck has been burning oil on start up so I figured it was the seals. Sure enough, the seals weren't even touching the valve stems anymore. I completed the passenger side yesterday and will continue with the driver side today. This tool made removal and installation a simple one man job. I'm replacing all the lash adjusters while I have it apart. The upper adjusters were all good but the lower ones were all collapsed. Not sure if this is just an coincidence or if it's typical of this engine.
@@Crunchysann i was able to order it with the last link bro and it went thru. Under a Jauhara. Said est. Delivery is on the 25th. Also i didnt see option for faster shipping option is there one that could get it to me by tge weekend? And ill definitely post an update, i absolutely was planning on pulling the heads til i saw the video 🤣😂🤘🤙
hi crunchy , big hello from Moruya Australia, i purchased your new valve spring tool and it works very well and is well made, it was fast shipping and just want to thankyou for taking the time to make this tool and provide an option for other home mechanics , have a good one .
Ah thank you so much. I was excited when I saw you 3d printed a tool. I'm familiar with 3d printing but no longer have access to a printer. Seeing the ebay link really made me happy. I purchased one on ebay and cant thank you enough.
hi I'm currently trying to do this on my 02 dodge dakota with the 4.7 and I looked up your tool and couldn't find it. I just got it all tore apart and to find the same problem you did was wondering if you had any of these available or how soon you would be able to and how much they are. because this is my daily driver
Purchased tool. Going to be replacing valve seals. Thinking of putting in new rocker arms and lash adjusters while I'm in there. Engine has 170k miles. Thoughts?
@@keiths9483 springs vary, i would advise you to call the dealer and identify the exact part yours takes. I only replaced retainers that i lost during the installation.
In the midst of replacing valve seals, springs, rockers, lash adjusters on my 03 Durango. Tool is well made. This is not a quick job. Follow the technique in video for getting valve locks on. If you have a 1st gen Durango, accept the fact that the power brake booster is going to need to come out and do it before you start on the driver's side.
It works like a charm!! I used the rope method instead of the air. Like you said. I just made sure the valves don’t start to fall as I compress the spring.
@@Crunchysann Your link shows 259,909 Results to try and find yours. Will these be back on the website soon? Project sitting and waiting. I have registered but no contact portal on your website.
@@Crunchysann I used your link on eBay and it did not pull up your product it pulled a screen full and at the top says 259,909 results for your tool. Page after page of tools.
@@Crunchysann the brake booster on the 2008 Grand Cherokee 3.7L? I just replaced the brake booster and it was a pain in the bu** haha!! I was going to do the valve seals with your tool but now I have second thoughts lol. The grand Cherokee seems with enough space not to have to remove the brake booster…!?
Hi colleague! here Leo from Venice. I have your same problem, but fortunately your resources too. Would you be willing to share the .stl file with me? great video, thanks!
Hi Zachary, although some parts are made out of 3D printed plastic: The metal supports add more than enough rigidity to this tool for the job. Unfortunately we do not provide the 3D models.
@@Crunchysann I can't get this video to load and it appears this is the only video doing it. It also happens to be the exact video I need fml. Is the video corrupted or removed?
Hi Charles, sorry about the late reply. RU-vid notifications are very slow. Here is the link to our website to order. It’s also in the description. crunchysann.com/BL/product/2-pack-chrysler-3-7l-4-7l-dodge-jeep-valve-spring-stem-keepers-replacement-tool/
Hey Pierre bro shoot me a link so that i can buy another one mine got lost maybe six months after i fixed my Ram and now i have another Ram that needs the stem seals thanks in advance bro and hope all is well 🤙
@@Crunchysann worked just as good as last time man thanks and im glad that i got two this time. Now i have 3 because i found the one i misplaced 🤣🤣🤣🤙🤙🤙
Who ever buys that tool, holy shit 125$? I feel bad for you suckers. Online the same type of tool for a 3.7 and 4.7 Chrysler engines just built different and looks different and about 90% of the cost of this one... It does the same thing, cups around the camshaft and presses down the valve springs, all you use for this one is your regular socket wrench hooks to the side and as you apply pressure it compresses..... This one also comes with an attachment to make it a rocker arm remover. 👍
The main difference with our tool is the fact that you can easily use our tool without having to remove your entire engine from the car, all by yourself. It will not slip and fly off like the lower cost tools you mention. Our tool holds the spring compressed so you can use your hands to add/readjust keepers: Try doing that with any other tool designed for this job on the engines you mentioned, while the engine is still in the engine bay :). We do still appreciate your feedback.
This is true but and I have one but is impossible to do the back cylinders with the cheep tool. There is no way with the cheaper tool to put the keepers in and hold the spring down at the same time.
