In a manual transmission vehicle, the clutch is responsible for disconnecting the engine from the transmission so that you can change gears. The rest of the time, the clutch transfers power from the engine to the transmission in order to drive the vehicle. The clutch is a friction device, and will need replacing at some point, depending on driving conditions.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:

This took me a lot longer than an hour lol, about 7 taking out the trans, half hour on clutch, and about 12 hours putting back together with torquing and lining up. I reccomend to tie your steering rack up to your struts (zinging tight to the point where it feels like the tie rods are going to bend) using tie downs so the splines in the steering rack don’t disconnect from the steering column. If your rack falls out of place your going to perhaps need to get it realigned. I fortunately did not have it disconnect but have heard horror stories about it lol

Hey it’s taken me far to long to find this video I’ve been doing a engine swap on my r18 It’s taken almost a year a lot going on, this video might just save my life tho I’m putting a new exedy clutch kit on today!!

Thank you! I will be doing exactly the same by myself for the first time. Just one question. Were you supposed to have the flywheel resurfaced?? I heard from a mechanic that it should be either replaced or resurfaced. Thank you again

I just did this whole job and I have no pressure and can't engage and disengage the clutch. I realized my power steering is disconnected too as it stretched. Would this have anything to do with it? Do I just need to bleed the clutch?

Great job; thanks for sharing that. Q: Are all 8gen 2006-2011 civics have the same transmission? particularly hatchback 1.8l EU models with available models in the US? I noticed a difference in the filling-up bolt (with/ without sucket); please correct me if I am wrong. :|
