Amazing video, TY. Is there a universal code we can use when resetting the data on the filters and whats a cheap way around this step if you don't own fancy, high-end equipment?
I have two filters in my box Freightliner says they are identical filters The SCR and DOC are inside Is this correct ? What was the time on replacing both filters in video ? Please advise Thanks
Yes. There are two identical DPF filters in the one box. These filters are the only serviceable filters in the one box. The two DOC filters are the filters directly to the right of the DPF filters which you can see in the video. The DOC filters are not serviceable. The SCR is not serviceable and not able to be seen without some kind of special bore scope tool. The time of repair for these filters really depends on the experience of the person doing it and the condition of the one box. I would say 2-4 hours is reasonable for replacing the filters (not including computer work and running a regeneration).
I’m not affiliated with these companies in anyway, but I saw these websites have the tool: www.powerlinecomponents.com/mtu-detroit-diesel/w470589026200/dpf-align-tl www.ddonebox.com/product/dpf-installation-tool/
The sensors would know that there is a problem and start throwing check engine lights that would eventually shut you down. You would have to have someone program your computer modules with a “delete” and then hollow those filters out. But of course, that is illegal and I don’t know how to do that.
@@alreyindustries yeah most of the time they are for me. That’s why I short cut it. Those bolts are always rusted so I just air hammer them. Probably just my location
