This video shows you how to install a TRQ water pump in your 2006-2013 Chevrolet Impala. The water pump keeps coolant flowing through your engine. Common failures of the water pump will leave the coolant leaking, or stagnant. Both will lead to overheating if left untreated. Install a new engineered to fit water pump from TRQ for total peace of mind.

It is officially 5:57 am in my state. I am a very young thriving mechanic, this happened to my impala at 9:45 pm with my daughter thank God I had my tools & you guys!!! helping me save a roadside assistance trip and my vehicle! Keep in mind my daughter is 2 !!

That belt might be the toughest part of this job . If you are not replacing it is it possible to just remove it from the upper pulleys and bungee it to the open hood above ?

2013 Chevy impalas don't use the 3.5L it uses the 3.6L

That didn't look like "approved coolant". Dex is orange, that looked yellow. Was it a problem color problem.on my computer or did you use universal?

One mistake I noticed, you’re supposed to tighten the water pump bolts to 11 foot pounds, and the water pump pulley bolts to 18 foot pounds. Other than that great video!

When you started the video, the camera was in too close. Would be nice to know where that first bolt is located. And why do you think that the entire belt has to come off? Save yourself some time and just move it aside.And never tighten bolts until all bolts are installed, this prevents you from stripping out the threads

Thanks for the vid. Very helpful. I don’t remember it being mentioned in the vid, but I did end up removing the overflow tank and battery pan to gain more room as I am a bit big and clumsy. Once the Chevy took her ounce of blood in the form of a knuckle scrap, it was smooth sailing.

Lil' tight but did my 2010 without battery removal. Every time I disconnect battery the engine won't run for a day. Something to do with anti theft system.
