New Brake Pad & Rotor Kit from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ib/1APBS00497
This video shows you how to install new, quality TRQ brake pads and rotors on your 2007-2013 Mitsubishi Outlander. Brake pads wear out over time, much like tires, and need replacing, on average, every 50,000 miles, with variations depending on driving habits and environment. Brake rotors may also need to be replaced if they are warped or grooved. Often, it’s safer and more cost effective to replace pads and rotors at the same time. Squealing or grinding noises, or wheel vibration are all symptoms of worn brakes.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2007 Mitsubishi Outlander
2008 Mitsubishi Outlander
2009 Mitsubishi Outlander
2010 Mitsubishi Outlander
2011 Mitsubishi Outlander
2012 Mitsubishi Outlander
2013 Mitsubishi Outlander

If you undo the master cylinder cap that’ll allow the pistons to be pushed back rather than undoing the bleed valve .

Great video. This is the second video I watched. I appreciate that you explained issues that we could run into getting the rotors off. I will be doing mine in my gravel driveway with a jack. In the first video that I watched, the mechanic was using a super clean vehicle with no rust and like new rotors and he made it sound so easy but who is going to be replacing rotors is they are still pristine. Mine is a 2017 Outlander Sport and it requires a tool to slide the caliper back to its home position, a c-clamp wont work. Thanks so much.

By opening the bleeder, don't you allow air to enter the system? Would not opening the brake fluid reservoir cover approach the same without allowing air in?
