I found this very helpful to watch before tackling the job. I do however have a few extra tips: When removing the anti-roll bar linkage from the strut, the suspension needs to be level on both sides of the car! So you either need to raise both sides or jack up the wishbone on the side you are working on. I would suggest the former is the safer option. On my model there was a position sensor on the wishbone which needed to be removed to avoid damaging it. When reassembling the strut, to avoid having to compress the spring with an insane amount of force, the piston can be extracted a few more inches and held with a jubilee/hose clip with some rubber padding. If you want to replace the dust covers too, you'll most likely have to order these from Germany with some lead time. And as mentioned below, there's not need to worry about the alignment of the top and bottom of the strut while assembling it. The cap is on a bearing and can freely rotate into the correct position when you fit to the car.

Very useful video,you do not have to mark the position the strut will only fit one way.The springs are very tricky to compress without a decent tool.

Why not replace that torn dust boot when replacing the spring? The cost is nothing and the job is zero added work while you had it dismantled. Also, I would not use that vice grip trick if reusing the strut. The polished surface of the strut shaft has to stay perfect or you can damage the shaft seal by creating a bur on the shaft.

mine look higher(ride) at the front than rear after after front shocks replacement, is there a way to lower it or perhaps adjust the front shocks
