Control arms are typically large and strong, so you may be surprised it needs replacing. They contain rubber bushings for smoother rides at the cost of eventual wear, or integrated ball joints that require replacing the entire arm when they wear. These how to videos are so great. They are pretty easy to understand, and the video is so sharp and clear. One minor criticism of this video is that when you introduce a new component, the alignment cam and bolts, I would have liked to see more detail and explanation of how they work. One of the big complaints from Colorado owners is the problem of having these trucks aligned. Many shops say can't do it; I don't understand that at all.

What about the Z71. It's different than the standard trim. Do you have a video fit for that one?

Instead of cutting rear bolt on control arm you can try using a balljoint press.

ROFL Nice to see a nice rust belt job.... surprised the lower rear mount hasn't detached from the frame yet...

You call that a just belt job? I don't think so, every nut came out. Its a rust belt job when the threads are the bolts and the nut heads are almost not there anymore. No amount of wd 40 will solve that.
