New Control Arm with Ball Joint from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ib/1ASFU00198
Control arms are a crucial part of the suspension system of your vehicle. They not only carry the load of the vehicle to the wheel, but they typically also maintain its alignment. Control arms are typically large and strong, so you may be surprised it needs replacing. They contain rubber bushings for smoother rides at the cost of eventual wear, or integrated ball joints that require replacing the entire arm when they wear. This video shows you how to install a new quality TRQ lower control arm with ball joint in your 2007-2014 Cadillac Escalade.

When replacing the whole control arm with the ball joint. Does it matter if you have aluminum or steel steering knuckle????

What did you end up doing? I had a problem with rusty bolts fused to the steel bushing sleeves three and a half years ago. Had to cut them all off. It was tedious to say the least.

lol i wish it was that easy on all of them I live in Massachusetts and my bolts were rusty as hell one bolt broke and the other one was ceased on the rubber bushing. I had to use my 4 1/2 inch cutoff wheel to cut the bolt off.I had to remove the strut to cut the bolt off.Great times...lol

Is it really 140 foot pounds for the upper control arm bolts??? I read it's 66 foot pounds. I set mine at 140... Or tryed to and it twisted the bolt head off... What is the correct torque spec?
