This was extremely informative & helpful for me doing my complete Front Pair of Bearings • Rotors & Brakes. I am grateful and Super Confident in doing these mechanical tasks.
Not that I would attempt this job by myself due to not being the most mechanically inclined when it comes to vehicles but you made this look so simple. What a great video!!
Beware, there are 2 different hub assemblies for 2007 Titan trucks depending when it was built. 2007 1/2 and above was upgraded and won’t fit rotors after install, had to do this job twice after Nissan dealership sold me the wrong one.
Really like the detail of your videos. You say at 10:05 that the torque for the wheel hub and bearing assembly bolts is 155 ft lbs. The manual that I have for 2013 shows those as only 107 ft lbs. Also, at 23:10 you say that the caliper sliding pin bolts torque to 32 ft lbs. My manual shows 53 ft lbs. You may want to double check those.
I did one side of my 2008 infiniti qx56 but i do notice the other side is making a roaring noise when im on the highway..so i nned to replace it. Replacing the first one was a chore...it didnt come out as easy as yours..you just tapped yours and it fell out..i probably need some good penetrating oil..im going to spray it the night before so it will really soak in there.
What in the up north salt infested roads Titan do we have here Maybe a suggestion would be some upol rust prohibitor with Bedliner undercoat/ chassis black
From the looks of that bearing hub when he banged it out with the hammer, he was at it for a while, beating the f&@# out of it. Edited video. Mine still won’t come loose after PB Blaster, heat and bashing it.
Thoughts on using a thin coat of copper antisieze instead of loktite for caliper bracket and bearing bolts? Did mine before watching but now wondering if it’s safe?
Question. 1. By parts cleaner do you mean Break Parts Cleaner? 2. Pernatex also sells the PERMATE COPPER ANTI-SEIZE LUBRICANT, 16 OZ Part#31163. Can I use this chemical insted of the copper spray?
