Thanks for the vid, helped! Although like in my case, probably here as well, problem isn't electronic part of the switch but the broken rotary switch. Second hand switch is 20-50 €, new oem 150€, just the rotary part 5$ or 2-3$ for a good glue. Anyway love your vids, keep em coming 😊
Hey I have a problem in BMW E91 318d. About that headlight switch. When I switch it to the right side for normal lights, (manually) the headlights don't work. I have to switch it to automatic mode and then it's ok, in this mode lights are on. But the lights are on if there is dark enough. So this is not a good way to drive, in Poland when you have to keep the lights on all year during the day when its bright. In winter one time there is dark enough to switch to automatic light but sometimes it's too bright to keep them on. Where is the problem then? Why those lights doesn't work if I switch them on (manually) turning the switch to right side, and in this mode taillights are on and working well but. Also I don't know why the lights are on when the switch is in ZERO (0) position, they are on when I turn on the automatic mode first, and then I turn back to ZERO/OFF position and they are still on anyway...
