does the epoxy at the top of the coil need to be white? i changed the coils once and now all cylinders are misfiring the new ones have black epoxy and the ones i changed where all white

Could you help me with the part number of ignition coil for N46 engine? Is it same ignition coil as N54 Engine?

Hi. Do you have a video to assist me. My friend has a 2006 e60 525i. We checked all the fuses in the engine bay. All fuses are ok. Their is no spark on the coils. Fuel pump does have pressure. Thank you

How did you know that was the coil that was bad and needed to be replaced?

Iam sure you’ve def sorted the problem now but for future reference if you’ve a misfire and you think it’s a coil you start the engine and then disconnect one and see if the engine tone changes if it does then it’s not that one it’s when you pull a plug and the engine sounds the same still then you know that’s the bad one

Take it to autozone and they will run a diagnostics test and tell you what is wrong

SAME IM HEATED AT THE MOMENT. Found out its a little slit under the three pins on the ignition coil. Doesnt line up with the coils. Get at me for possible solutions.
