I think it helped me some bit that I first hit the collar under the bolt and after that I started hitting the "nuts" like in the video > Bolts came off super easily. Takin this to locksmith as I have most likely worn wafers as the key wont turn in the lock, much cheaper than replacing the complete thing. ~100 euros what locksmiths are charging for it here in Fin.
@@dennis_503_gutierrez ya I have an autel scan tool. Tried many times. Kept getting error code. Then I figured out the new key didn't have the transponder chip in it. So I had to cut it out of the old key then it worked.
Just take the lock cylinder out by pulling the roll pins take the lock cylinder out pull the Fing wafers and tiny springs out put back together. Slapper all back together and never have this problem again. The transponder in the key is the trick to getting it to start anyway so why f with the stupid never ending failing wafers and the key that is constantly wearing. And yes The stearing wheel still locks when you turn it off and pull the key.You can take your key out while its running too which is very convient at times. I put one full rap of black electric tape at the end of the cuts on the key so that the key doesnt fall out of the lock easily. Just did this today and it works like a champ. Sorry locksmith's but this nightmare is BS AND I FOUND THE CURE. Save yourself a tow and 200 bucks buying new keys blah blah
hey doug , would you please message me and tell me how to do what you are describing? i must be getting older as i know i am , but i am trying to figure how to get the lock cylinder out and apart and taking the wafers out .i would love and be very appreciative if you would . back in the day removing the lock cylinder from a coloumn was a piece of cake but this one confuses me .
@@sapphiresnape7456 There are videos on how to remove the lock cylinder and how to take the actual lock cylinder apart and how to reinstall just keep in mind if you remove the wafers and pins and small springs you won't have the PROBLEM ANYMORE
