What a great video. Clear, concise, easy to understand. I followed it step by step and it made changing my intake gaskets super easy. I really appreciate the little details like how to remove certain clips. I’ve subscribed to the channel so hopefully I can reference them again in the future.

I could not get my fuel hose to separate so I removed the feed line from each fuel rail. Didnt have to fight with evap after that either!

I would strongly suggest to use a GM ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT INTAKE MANIFOLD for this.

Why would you have to replace the intake? I can see gasket but not the intake.

Because the intake manifold is plastic. Over the course of time, going through hot and cold cycles being between the heads where alot of heat from the motor accumulates the plastic that makes up the intake sometimes has a tendency to warp or even crack. You can put gasket after gasket on a warped intake manifold and youre left with the same result. If i go down that far on my truck im swapping the whole thing out

I just replaced mine on my 02 2500hd w/ the 6.0. I followed the video step by step and now the engine idles low. If I hit the brakes hard it dies. I’ve made sure everything is secure. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Also my truck didn’t have a hose coming off the back like at 10:53 and it has a hose connection on the side of the throttle body for the hose at 21:08.

Please help. Followed video to a T and double checked everything. Once done went to start truck and won’t start just goes RUMM then stops. Wont crank. When over all connectors without any luck

No the LU3 V6 found in 2003-2013 the intake port is on top, not front, this truck is a 2003-2007 with a LS V8.
