Man I gotta give you bigtime thanks for this disassembly video. Great instructions that were clear, and you took the time to show all steps instead of skipping ahead. My two year old LG decided to be sad and a power surge fried the two circuit boards in the front panel. The repair tech said it'd be $600 to replace them. I watched your vid and it helped me get to where the boards are. I'm going to buy the parts myself and swap them out. Saved me at least $200. Awesome job dude!

Just wanted to thank you so much for this video! Spent the day trying to fix the dryer (bad rollers) with zero luck getting the front panel off because of the Steam tray. Really appreciate people like you who put this stuff out knowing few will watch it!

Dude! This has been the BEST explained video I've seen on the internet! You rocked it! I have a LG DLEX7177WM Dryer and I've noticed that the clothes sometimes are still DAMP! I am gonna change this Heating Element Assembly and while I have it opened I'll replace the Drum Belt and the Moisture Sensor (Both are Cheap) while I have the machine opened! Thanks again for the excellent job explaining it to us! 👍

Thank you so much! Your video was instrumental in helping me get my LG dryer up and running again because the front panel and electrical was the same. You did a great job guiding us through the disassembly and the reinstallation, you're a beast! I have the gas version and had to replace a couple of parts. I was able to disconnect the control panel cables connecting to the motherboard but I broke the securing clip on couple of connectors in the process. I just used tape to secure the connectors to prevent them from coming loose with vibrations. The hardest connector was the red one, you have to press it in from underneath to pull it out.

Your step by step video was exceptional and easy to understand. I purchased the part from Amazon and did this exact same LG Steam Dryer heating unit replacement. It works perfectly and saved money but the feeling of accomplishment for something totally outside my skill set is just amazing. Thanks for providing this instructional information.

Thanks for the instruction video. I have a 2014 DELX8000V. Most all the steps were exactly the same and I was able to replace the heating element. I tested the thermostat, thermal fuses and high-temp with a multimeter and all components were working. This obviously concerned me so, I tested the motor as well. Everything appeared to be good to go. Then I noticed another thermostat on the blower motor component. That one failed. I changed it. Took the extra time to vacuum out and clean out all the dust, lint, and wipe down everything since the machine was basically disassembled. Reassembled everything and now the dryer is working better than it has in years.

A great video. I loved the detail, it allowed me to do it step by step without confusion. Not to mention saving yhr cost of some tech to makers house call. This took me a long time as I was pretty tight on laundry room space but otherwise it went really well. Thanks for making such a good video. 👍

Excellent video. I've got a Kenmore 79680441900 model dryer that is built by LG and aside from a few tiny differences in appearance, the guts are exactly alike. The design of these is to get people to throw it away. Its Absolutely rediculous to have to disassemble the whole dryer just to replace the most common part failure of a dryer. THEY PUT AN ACCESS DOOR FOR A FILTER ON THE WASHER BUT ELIMINATED THE FRONT ACCESS PANEL FOR THE HEATER ON DRYERS. JUST FUCKING BRILLIANT !
