It look's like you really don't have to do anything but the 4 bolts to remove the panel enough to do the job.

Thank you for saving me money, i did not undo any wires other than the one for the mirror and just let the door cover hang while i replaced the mirror.

I just bought 1 there and I’m putting it on. This video really helps the part about making sure the vapor barrier is still on. There is a good idea because recently my truck started leaking water through the doors and I’m thinking that maybe that has come loose somehow .The new mirror looks excellent.

It's a good thing I watched this first. I was under the impression that all I had to do was pop out the triangler section of the door cover. The door latch cable appears to have enough play in it to leave it hooked up and just hang the door panel to the door with a bungee cord or 2

I find popping the door handle with the wire connected is much easier than messing with taking hooking the wire back on. Other than that, instructions were clear and this was a breeze!

I’m here to say you don’t have to remove the window switch nor the latch cable. Just the panel and you’ll be good

I did enjoy the video , excellent content with minimal wasted time , however after looking online for a replacement I figured it was the least i could do to support you by getting the one you linked , but it is 3 times more expensive than other oem suppliers , not cool

My F-150 2011 does not have turn signals in mirrors. I would like to replace them with the type of mirrors that have turn signals. There are eleven wires running to the mirrors but only four are connected to the mirror. Is it possible to do this?
