Today, we take a look at how to replace an original Nintendo DS top screen.
The great news about the original Nintendo DS, is that the ribbon cable for the top screen, doesn't directly connect to the motherboard in the bottom of the console! Rather, it connects to a bit of a "jumper" board, that then connects to the lower board.
Why is this important? Because it means that if a hinge gets broken, the screen itself doesn't get ruined in the process!
Watch and see how we can use what looks to be a destroyed DS, and salvage the top screen from it, to use in place of our current, dying screen.
If you like this video, please give it a thumbs up, and subscribe if you're not already. We're a brand new channel just starting up, and I'm working extra hard to get a bunch of videos out right now, and to get the channel out there and visible to those who are needing these tutorials for their own projects.
Thanks for watching!
